Albany, NY (Sports Network) - Dylon Cormier scored 24 points to go along with
five steals to lead the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds to an 80-57 rout of the
Siena Saints in a MAAC tilt at the Times Union Center.
Robert Olson added 20 points on 4-of-6 from long range while Erik Etherly and
Julius Brooks scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, as Loyola (19-9, 11-5
MAAC) won its second straight contest.
Trenity Burdine scored 12 points for Siena (6-21, 4-12) while O.D. Anosike
notched 10 points and seven rebounds.
Cormier scored seven of 10 points as Loyola broke the game open with a 10-0
run midway through the first half. It led by as many as 19 points before
Burdine sparked a late Siena run to cut the halftime score to 37-29 in favor
of the Greyhounds.
Loyola opened the second period on a 15-2 run to extend its lead to 52-31 with
14:14 remaining. The Greyhounds shot 53.8 percent from the field in the half
while Siena managed just 35.7 percent.
Despite the loss, Siena still leads the all-time series, 37-19.
