NCAA Game Summary - Iona at Siena

Albany, NY (Sports Network) - Lamont Jones knocked down 10-of-11 shots at the
free-throw line, finishing with 19 points, as the Iona Gaels captured a 66-62
win over the Siena Saints in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play at the
Times Union Center.
Also scoring in double figures for the Gaels (8-6, 2-1 MAAC), as they won
their second straight and the third in the last four outings, were Sean Armand
with 14 points, David Laury 12, to go along with a team-best nine rebounds,
followed by A.J. English with 11 points off the bench.
The Saints (2-12, 0-3) were paced by O.D. Anosike who registered yet another
double-double with 19 points and a game-high 15 boards, but still the squad
suffered a 10th consecutive setback. Rob Poole accounted for 18 points and
eight boards for the hosts.
Both teams shot about 40 percent from the floor in the first half, but Siena
was able to open with a 6-0 run before having to battle back to a 29-24 lead
at the break.
In the second half the lead reached double digits for the Saints several
times, but down the stretch it was a series of free throws by Jones, English
and Taaj Ridley that secured the four-point win for the visitors.
In a game that featured three ties and 13 lead changes, Iona picked up the
win despite shooting only 37.9 percent from the floor.
