Ames, IA (Sports Network) - Scott Christopherson registered 25 points to lead the Iowa State Cyclones to an 80-69 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners in a Big 12 Conference tilt at Hilton Coliseum.
Chris Allen added 16 points in the win for Iowa State (19-8, 9-5 Big 12), while Percy Gibson netted 11 points and collected seven rebounds off the bench. Melvin Ejim chipped in 10 points and pulled down 14 boards as well for the Cyclones before being ejected after an illegal screen in the second half.
Cameron Clark scored 16 points to lead the way for Oklahoma (13-13, 3-11), while Sam Grooms and Carl Blair helped pace the squad with 12 points a piece. Tyler Neal chipped in 10 points off the bench, while Romero Osby added 10 points as well.
The Sooners were kept in check to the tune of 38.2 percent from the field during the first period of play, opening a 37-28 halftime lead for Iowa State.
The Cyclones then converted 55.6 percent of their attempts from the floor over the final 20 minutes to earn an 11-point verdict.
The Cyclones hit 11-of-22 from beyond the arc during the meeting.
