NCAA Game Summary - College of Charleston at UNC Greensboro

Greensboro, NC (Sports Network) - Derrell Armstrong scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Spartans of UNC Greensboro to a 78-63 win over the College of Charleston in Southern Conference play at Greensboro Coliseum.

Also scoring in double figures for the Spartans (12-15, 10-5 SoCon), as they won their third in a row and the 10th in the last 11 outings, were Aloysius Henry and Kyle Randall with 22 and 12 points, respectively, off the bench.

The Cougars (16-11, 8-8) were paced by Trent Wiedeman who registered a double- double with 21 points and a game-high 18 rebounds as the team had a three-game win streak come to an end. Antwaine Wiggins and Andrew Lawrence both contributed 11 points and Nori Johnson 10. Lawrence accounted for a game-high seven assists, but he also turned the ball over 10 times.

Charleston shot just 34.6 percent from the floor in the first half, including 2-of-12 behind the three-point line, but thanks to a 10-of-14 effort at the free-throw line the visitors were able to stay within a point at the break, 31-30.

In the second half UNCG took control with not only 50.0 percent accuracy from the field, but also 5-of-9 shooting beyond the arc, en route to the 15-point win.

The Spartans scored 25 points off 22 turnovers by the Cougars.
