NCAA Game Summary - Valparaiso at Cleveland State

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Ryan Broekhoff scored 24 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as Valparaiso earned a 59-41 win over a cold shooting Cleveland State team at the Wolstein Center.
Richie Edwards added 20 points for the Crusaders (18-8, 11-3 HL), who won their fourth straight game and swept Cleveland State in the season series and moved a half-game ahead of the Vikings for the lead in the Horizon League standings.
Jeremy Montgomery scored 15 for Cleveland State (20-5, 10-3), which had a five-game winning streak snapped. The Vikings sank just 25.9 percent of their shots, including 1-of-13 from beyond the arc. They were 14-of-54 from the field for the contest.
Aaron Pogue started the game by making 1-of-2 free throws for Cleveland State, but it was all downhill from there for the Vikings.
The Crusaders scored the ensuing 17 points, capped by consecutive three-balls from Edwards. He and Broekhoff combined to go 10-of-16 from long distance. Broekhoff also nailed a pair of threes during the big spurt, helping the visitors grab a 29-17 lead at the half.
Cleveland State made just 6-of-25 shots in the first half and it wasn't much better over the final 20 minutes. Valparaiso led by as many as 21 in the second half.
