Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Michael Craion netted 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles to a 73-65 win over the FIU Panthers in consolation-round action of the NIT Season Tip-Off at the Mabee Center.
Dominique Morrison added 13 points in the win for Oral Roberts (4-2), while Jake Lliteras checked in off the bench to contribute 12 points.
Phil Taylor finished with a game-high 22 points to lead the way for FIU (1-3), which also got 17 and 10 points from DeJuan Wright and Dominique Ferguson, with the latter responsible for a team-best nine boards.
The Panthers converted just 42.9 percent from the field during the opening period of play, helping Oral Roberts to a 34-26 halftime lead.
The Golden Eagles then shot at a blistering 61.9 percent pace during the final 20 minutes to capture an eight-point victory.
The Panthers hit 55.1 percent of their attempts from the floor during the meeting, including an 8-of-20 effort from beyond the arc.
