GAME NOTES: William & Mary will get another chance at taking down the Flames of Liberty as the two schools meet at the Convocation Center in the 2K Sports Classic.

William & Mary lost its fifth consecutive game to start the season Saturday as they lost at Eastern Kentucky 63-44. No players scored in double figures as the Tribe had a horrendous night offensively.

Liberty lost its second-straight game, as the Mountain Hawks of Lehigh beat it 90-80. All five starters scored in double figures for the Flames, but it was not enough to overcome C.J. McCollum's 32-point performance. Jesse Sanders flirted with a triple-double in the game for Liberty with 12 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds.

This will be the second time Liberty and William & Mary square off this season. Liberty won the first game 75-72. David Minaya scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Flames in the win, while Marcus Thornton led the Tribe with 19 points.

Quinn McDowell leads the Tribe in scoring and rebounding with 12.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest. Marcus Thornton is second in the squad in points averaged with 10.6 per game. William & Mary has struggled this season on both ends of the floor. Offensively they are only averaging 58 points per game on 40.1 percent shooting. The Tribe has already turned the ball over 91 times in five games. William & Mary is allowing opponents to score 73.4 points per game on 46.9 percent shooting.

The Flames had a balanced effort against Liberty. The Flames only shot 43.1 percent from the floor in the contest while allowing Lehigh to make 53.4 percent of its shots. The Flames won the rebounding battle by a margin of five and only turned the ball over 11 times in the loss.

This will be the third game in three days for both teams. Fatigue and depth will play a major role in the outcome of this one. Although Minaya is the most talented player on the court when these two squads take the floor, the Tribe's balanced attack will pay off in this one. William & Mary's going to be playing with a sense of urgency to avoid falling to 0-6.
