GAME NOTES: The Wake Forest Demon Deacons will try to put an end to their seven-game losing streak when they host the Clemson Tigers in an Atlantic Coast Conference battle at the Lawrence Joel Coliseum.

Clemson has won two games in a row following a three-game skid, with the most recent victory against Georgia Tech on Saturday, 63-55. The Tigers have gone back and forth in the ACC this season, with an 8-6 conference record.

Wake Forest has lost seven games in a row and eight of its last 10 altogether, The Deacons were downed by North Carolina, 105-72, on Saturday in an ugly loss for Wake Forest, which fell to 4-10 in conference play.

Wake Forest leads the all-time series against Clemson by a hefty 98-57 margin. But the Tigers were the ones who struck last, beating the Deacons 61-53 back on Jan. 18 in Clemson.

Clemson had to overcome a nine-point second-half deficit on Saturday to defeat Georgia Tech, and the Tigers did just that, beating the Yellow Jackets for the ninth consecutive time. K.J. McDaniels once again led Clemson in scoring, netting 16 points and adding four steals to his stat line. Damarcus Harrison chipped in with 15 points and Landry Nnoko added 13 points in the victory. Despite shooting 18.8 percent from 3-point range in the game, the Tigers hit 46 percent from the floor.

McDaniels has had a sensational season for Clemson, netting 17 ppg on 46.2 percent shooting from the floor. His 7.1 rpg average is a Clemson high, along with his 74 blocked shots and 32 steals. He's the only Tiger to average a double-digit scoring number, though guard Rod Hall isn't far off the mark at 9.1 ppg. Hall leads the team with 99 assists on the year. The Tigers are scoring just 62.5 ppg, but play some strong defense by allowing opponents to score 56 ppg.

North Carolina came into Saturday's matchup with Wake Forest looking to avenge an earlier loss to the Demon Deacons, and was able to take control early on in the contest. The Tar Heels buried 11-of-15 from 3-point range in the lopsided victory, which was their ninth in a row. Coron Williams led Wake Forest in scoring in the game with 19 points, while Devin Thomas added 14 points and Tyler Cavanaugh had 15 off the bench. The Deacons allowed North Carolina to shoot 57.4 percent from the floor on Saturday.

Codi Miller-McIntyre, who was held scoreless in the game versus North Carolina, still leads Wake Forest in scoring this season with a 13.6 ppg average on 44.2 percent shooting. Miller-McIntyre also leads the team with 103 assists on the year, and is third on the squad in steals with 19. Thomas is second on the team in scoring with 11.1 ppg, and Travis McKie is in a close third with 11 ppg. Thomas' 7.9 rpg leads the Deacons through 27 games played.

Wake Forest has been a solid home team this season with a 12-3 record at Lawrence Joel Coliseum. But of their seven straight losses, the Deacons have dropped three in Winston-Salem, and Clemson will be looking to make up some ground in the ACC fast.
