NCAA Game Summary - Denver at IUPU-Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Bryant Rucker and Brett Olson each tallied 18 points to lead the Denver Pioneers past the IUPU-Fort Wayne Mastodons, 73-62, in Summit League action at Gates Sports Center.
Olson grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists for the Pioneers (13-12, 6-4 Summit), while Chris Udofia chipped in with 16 points and a team- high five assists. Denver has won three of its past four games.
Pierre Bland netted 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting to pace IPFW (19-9, 7-4). Steve Forbes scored 11 points and pulled down a team-best seven boards, and both Luis Jacobo and Joe Reed added 10 points in the loss. The Mastodons have dropped three of their past four contests.
Both teams started the game off strong, each netting at least 50 percent of their shot attempts in the first half. Denver went into the intermission with a 35-25 lead after connecting on 56.5 percent of its field goal tries, while IPFW hit on 50 percent of its shots.
Neither team let up in the second period. The Pioneers found the mark on 52.4 percent of their shots in the frame, while the Mastodons once again connected on 50 percent of their attempts. Denver hit 12 free throws in the second half compared to six for IPFW.
Denver outscored IPFW from 3-point range, 33-18, in the game, and owned a 19-8 edge in points off turnovers. The Mastodons won the battle under the basket, outrebounding the Pioneers, 31-16.
