NCAA Game Summary - Princeton at Harvard

Final Score: Harvard 67, Princeton 64

Cambridge, MA (Sports Network) - Kyle Casey finished with 20 points and eight rebounds as the Harvard Crimson defeated the Princeton Tigers. 67-64, in Ivy League action at Lavietes Pavilion.

Brandyn Curry contributed 15 points and six assists for Harvard (24-3, 10-1 Ivy) as it avenged its only conference loss of the season. Oliver McNally chipped in 13 points while Keith Wright scored 12 points.

Ian Hummer and Douglas Davis scored 14 points each for Princeton (15-11, 6-4). Patrick Saunders added 12 points while Brendan Connolly grabbed a team-high seven rebounds as the Tigers had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Princeton took a 33-32 lead into the intermission after it shot 48 percent from the field and connected on 5-of-8 attempts from three-point range in the opening period. The Crimson trailed by just one point after they connected on 52 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half.

The Tigers went on a small run after halftime and held a 39-32 advantage with 17:52 left to play. Harvard battled back and kept close before Wright scored four straight points to give the hosts a 52-50 lead with 9:29 left in the contest. The conference foes would trade baskets and leads before Curry scored five point in a row to put Harvard up 59-55. However, Princeton refused to go away and Davis made a jumper that cut made the deficit 59-58 with 53 seconds left in regulation. The Crimson went 8-of-8 from the foul line the rest of the way to push their lead up to six points.

Princeton committed 14 turnovers in the losing effort, while the Crimson were guilty of only seven turnovers.
