Villanova, PA (Sports Network) - Dante Cunningham scored 24 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to lead No. 18 Villanova to a 78-68 triumph over Navy.

Scottie Reynolds poured in 23 points for the Wildcats (11-1), who have won three straight games since their lone setback -- a 67-58 loss to Texas on December 9. It was also Villanova's fourth straight win over Navy.

Moments later, still down by seven, a three from Adam Teague closed it to 65-61 for Navy.

Kina's free throw made it a one-possession game, 67-64, but two free throws by Pena and one from Cunningham with 1:55 left in the game gave the Wildcats a 70-64 cushion.

The Midshipmen cut it to four with a pair of free throws of their own but managed just one bucket the rest of the way and Villanova ended on an 8-2 run.

Cunningham's jumper capped an 8-0 run 'Nova used to open the contest, and the Wildcats increased that lead to 28-17 late in the first half.

With 6:08 left, though, the Midshipmen staged a 9-1 run that spanned just over four minutes to get back in the game.

Harris' three-pointer sparked the run and Kina followed suit with another three-ball before Cunningham interjected with a free throw to make it 29-23.

Another Harris three closed out the surge with 4:02 remaining to bring Navy within 29-26, but the home team outscored the guests 8-2 to close out the half for a 37-28 advantage.

Romeo Garcia's layup cut Navy's deficit to six points, 41-35, but Villanova's lead hovered around nine points until the midway point of the second half.
