Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Wave defeated the Baltimore Blast, 16-7, Friday to win the 2011 MISL Championship.

Wave goalkeeper Marcel Feenstra was the MVP, stopping 11 of 14 shots while Jonathan Greenfield added a goal and two assists. Seven different players scored for the Wave in the win.

The Wave got going early with two goals in the first minute en route to a 4-0 advantage after the first quarter.

The Blast came back, however, evening things at four in the second quarter before the Wave took over, making it 10-4 by the end of the third quarter.

The Wave stretched the lead to 14-4 before the Blast cut it to 14-7 in the final quarter. Evan McNeley closed out the scoring late to make it 16-7.
