Description: Minnesota G/F Chase Budinger said Tuesday that he's starting to get some confidence back, according to nba.com. "Yeah, it's getting better," he said. "I feel like my legs are starting to come back, wind is getting a little better and I'm just really happy that I'm seeing improvements each week, each every two weeks I’m seeing improvements and that’s all I could really ask for right now."
Insight: Budinger missed Minnesota's first 34 games while recovering from a torn meniscus and played just 16 minutes per game his first 16 games back. With Kevin Martin out with a broken thumb, Budinger started in his place the last two games and averaged 28.5 minutes, 17 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 threes.

Description: Wolves forward Chase Budinger is on a minutes limit, according to a Minneapolis Star-Tribune report.
Insight: Budinger missed Minnesota's first 34 games while recovering from a torn meniscus and is on an 18-minute limit. He's played 16 and 11 minutes in his first two games and averaged 7.0 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.5 apg. That's not fantasy worthy.

Description: Minnesota SF Chase Budinger is almost ready to return after his latest full court workout.
Insight: After two knee surgeries, the team is being conservative, but once back he could beat out Corey Brewer for the starting SF role. He's been a consistence 9.4 ppg scorer over his first four seasons which won't get him onto many fantasy rosters even when healthy.

11/19/2013 11:00:00 AM
Description: Minnesota guard/forward Chase Budinger was seen taking jump shots after practice Monday.
Insight: Still no updated timetable for his return so we will stick with the original 6-8 week schedule which would put a return around the beginning of December. He's been a consistence 9.4 ppg scorer over his first four seasons which won't get him onto many fantasy rosters even when healthy.

Description: Minnesota guard/forward Chase Budinger is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks with a left knee injury. SOURCE: Jerry Zgoda, Star Tribune
Insight: He could be out for even longer once he learns his official diagnosis from Dr. James Andrews. Injuries limited Budinger to just 20 games last season and it looks like that same scenario could play out again in 2013-14.

Description: The T-Wolves inked swingman Chase Budinger to a three-year deal on Tuesday. SOURCE: ESPN.com
Insight: He'll earn $16 million over the contract's duration. Budinger (9.1 ppg in 23 games in 2012-13) has shown flashes during his first three seasons in the league but he's never been able to put it all together. He could have a chance to start at small forward now that Andrei Kirilenko is a free agent.

3/21/2013 9:07:00 PM
Description: Minnesota guard/forward Chase Budinger (knee) will return to action Thursday against the Kings.
Insight: Budinger was averaging 11.8 points and 3.5 rebounds before tearing his left meniscus in November. Ricky Rubio's return to the starting lineup bumped Luke Ridnour to the starting two-guard spot, so Budinger won't play many minutes as a reserve swingman.

3/6/2013 4:50:00 PM
Description: Minnesota guard/forward Chase Budinger (knee) said he hopes to be back in 2-3 weeks.
Insight: Budinger was averaging 11.8 points and 3.5 rebounds before tearing his left meniscus in November. Ricky Rubio's return to the starting lineup bumped Luke Ridnour to the starting two-guard spot, so Budinger won't have many minutes available unless Andrei Kirilenko (calf) remains out.

11/24/2012 11:27:00 AM
Description: Head coach Rick Adelman says Timberwolves swingman Chase Budinger is hoping to return by March. Budinger tore his meniscus earlier in the season.
Insight: Budinger had been averaging a career-high 11.8 ppg before the injury. With Brandon Roy (knee surgery) and Budinger both sidelined, Malcolm Lee (four ppg) has been filling in at shooting guard.

Description: Minnesota G/F Chase Budinger (knee) will miss at least three months after having surgery to repair a torn lateral meniscus. SOURCE: Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo!
Insight: Budinger started at shooting guard Saturday but left after twisting his knee. It was later revealed that he suffered a torn meniscus. If his knee heals in the given timetable, he could return to the team in mid-February.

11/12/2012 10:02:00 AM
Description: Minnesota G/F Chase Budinger (knee) will need surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his left knee, the team announced.
Insight: Budinger started at shooting guard Saturday but left after twisting his knee. We won't know an exact timetable for his return until after the surgery. Brandon Roy is dealing with a knee injury and J.J. Barea a foot injury, but both should be able to return soon. In the meantime, Andrei Kirilenko, Alexey Shved, Dante Cunningham and Derrick Williams should see increased minutes as the team attempts to piece together a rotation.

11/10/2012 10:32:00 PM
Description: Minnesota G/F Chase Budinger was forced from Saturday's game with a twisted knee. X-rays came back normal.
Insight: Budinger started at shooting guard for the injured Brandon Roy and scored nine points on 4-of-8 shooting before exiting. He'll be re-evaluated when the team arrives in Dallas.

6/28/2012 7:06:00 PM
Description: Small forward Chase Budinger was shipped to the Timberwolves Tuesday along with the rights to forward Lior Eliyahu in exchange for the 16th pick in Thursday night's NBA Draft.
Insight: It's yet to be determined what Budinger's role will be in Minnesota but if he gets a chance to start he should be a threat to score double-digits on most nights. But unfortunately for fantasy owners that's where Budinger's value ends: he's a weak rebounder (3.4 rpg in 210 career games) and not much of a distributor (1.3 apg in 2011-12).

4/13/2011 11:03:00 PM
Description: Chase Budinger did his best Soprano (singer not mob family) by ending his season on a high note with 35 points, six boards, four assists, two steals, and four triples in the win.
Insight: Budinger didn't quite live up to expectations after the Rockets jettisoned guys like Shane Battier. He still was good enough to be a player in their rotation for next year and could be a player to target late in drafts. We'll see what the offseason brings though.

4/9/2011 10:21:00 PM
Description: Chase Budinger had more of an inside-out game than usual with 16 points, nine boards, two blocks, and a three in 36 minutes.
Insight: If Kyle Lowry or Luis Scola sit for another game, the Rockets are going to find other ways to score the rock. Expect Budinger to have value regardless, but he is a player that should be starting in even shallow leagues with Lowry and/or Scola out.
