2008: Selected by Portland in 2nd round (36th overall) of the NBA Draft; Traded to Chicago in a three-team deal, June 28th...2010: Signed with Chicago to a two-year deal worth $3.5 million, July 13th...2012: Signed with Houston to a three-year deal worth $25.1 million, July 20th...2014: Traded to New Orelans for a 1st round draft pick, June 25th.

Has the skills to give a team in the NBA a little bit of everything...He does a terrific job corralling rebounds and is also a superb shot blocker...Does a strong job with his back to the net, and has a variety of post moves as well as a soft touch leading to plenty of points in the paint...Asik`s success is due more to his hustle, as the big man lacks top tier athletic ability...Although he has no trouble scoring in the paint, Asik is still very inconsistent from mid range and also has trouble from the foul line...Will definitely need to add some bulk to bang with the big boys at the next level.
