Defending champion Korea leads at Women's World Am Antalya, Turkey (Sports Network) - Korea fired an 8-under 136 on Friday to take the second-round lead of the Women's World Amateur Team. The defending champions finished 36 holes at 8-under 280 and are five strokes clear at the New Course at Gloria Golf Club. Two scores for a three-member squad count toward the team score and Hyo-Joo Kim fired a 5-under 67 on Friday. Min-Sun Kim had a 3-under 69 for the Korean total of 136. Even the third member of the team, Kyu-Jung Baek, was under par with a 71 in round two. "Yesterday, we were a little tense and we were not 100 percent on our game," admitted Korean coach Young-Min Park. "Today was better. And, I think rounds three and four will be much better." Germany (141), Canada (142), Japan (142), Australia (141) and New Zealand (142) are knotted in second at 3-under 285. Spain had a 1-under 143 and is seventh at minus-2. Finland (139) and France (143) share eighth at 1-under par. First-round leader Sweden struggled to a 3-over 147 and fell into a tie for 10th with England at even-par.
