(Saturday, February 9) Final Score: Nebraska 67, Penn State 53 Lincoln, NE (Sports Network) - The Nebraska Cornhuskers earned the season sweep of the Penn State Nittany Lions by claiming a 67-53 triumph in a Big Ten Conference matchup at the Rob Devaney Sports Center. Despite shooting 4-of-12 from the field, Dylan Talley scored 16 points with seven rebounds to help the Cornhuskers (12-12, 3-8 Big Ten) end a two-game slump. Brandon Ubel added 14 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks, while Ray Gallegos chipped in 11 points. D.J. Newbill scored 17 points but shot just 4-of-14 from the field with five turnovers as Penn State (8-15, 0-11) lost their 11th consecutive game and remained winless in conference action. Jermaine Marshall shot 3-of-10 from the floor but was 8-of-8 from the free-throw line for 16 points, while Ross Travis grabbed 13 rebounds. After holding PSU to 20 percent shooting in the first half, Nebraska led 33-26 at the break. To start the second half, the Nittany Lions went close to seven minutes without making a field goal. The Cornhuskers went 20-of-26 from the free-throw line in the half and outscored PSU, 34-27.
