Baltusrol gets 2018 U.S. Junior

Far Hills, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - The United States Golf Association announced Wednesday that Baltusrol Golf Club, in Springfield, New Jersey, will host the 2018 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.

The tournament will take place July 16-21. The Upper Course will be used for stroke-play qualifying and match play and the Lower Course for stroke play.

It will mark the 16th USGA championship to be played at Baltusrol. Merion Golf Club, in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, has the most with 18 USGA championships. Baltusrol will join the Atlanta Athletic Club as the only two sites to have hosted a U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open and U.S. Junior Amateur.

Baltusrol Golf Club has hosted seven U.S. Opens, second only to Oakmont's nine. That includes the 2016 U.S. Open, which will be played at Oakmont in suburban Pittsburgh.
