NCAA Game Summary - Army at Buffalo (Saturday, October 18th) Final Score: Buffalo 27, Army 24 (OT) Buffalo, NY (Sports Network) - Drew Willy threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions to lead the Buffalo Bulls to a thrilling overtime victory over the Army Black Knights in a non-conference tussle at UB Stadium. Willy completed 25-of-35 pass attempts to pace Buffalo (3-4) in the victory, while Ernest Jackson hauled in nine balls for 134 yards and a score for the Bulls. Collin Mooney gained 172 yards and two touchdowns on just 16 carries to lead Army (2-5) in the losing effort, while Chip Bowden added a 47-yard rushing effort for the Black Knights. A one-yard plunge by Patrick Mealy late in the opening quarter gave Army a 7-0 advantage. The Bulls responded with an A. J. Principe 36-yard field goal early in the second period. The Black Knights took a 10-3 lead into the break following a 34-yard kick from Matthew Campbell. Mooney extended the Army lead midway through the third quarter with a three- yard run. A one-yard plunge from Brandon Thermilus pulled Buffalo to within 17-10 late in the period. But Army responded less than two minutes later with an 81-yard touchdown scamper by Mooney, pushing Army's lead 24-10. Willy pulled Buffalo to within a touchdown again early in the final period of play with an eight-yard toss to Naaman Roosevelt. Willy struck again late in the period, finding Jackson for a 15-yard connection, which tied the contest at 24-24, sending the game into overtime.
