Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Justin Drummond scored a game-high 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds off the bench as the Loyola-Maryland Greyhounds recorded a 72-57 win over the Canisius Golden Griffins in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference at Reitz Arena.

Drummond converted 10-of-21 shots from the floor for the Greyhounds (13-12, 9-6 MAAC) as they won for the second time in the last three outings. Erik Etherly added 18 points and a game-high nine boards, followed by Shane Walker with 13 points in the home victory.

Canisius (13-12, 7-8) was paced by Elton Frazier who delivered 20 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor, while Alshwan Hymes chipped in 12 points and six boards as the squad had a three-game win streak snapped.

Canisius broke out with an outstanding 59.1 percent shooting from the field in the first half, yet the squad still trailed at the break by a 34-28 score.

In the second half the Griffs dropped to 36.7 percent from the field, including 1-of-7 beyond the arc, as they suffered the double-digit loss on the road.

Loyola outscored the visitors in the paint by a 49-32 margin and also forced Canisius into 20 turnovers.
