Description: This could be Danny Amendola's final year in New England if he doesn't get his act together. SOURCE: Boston Globe
Insight: The Patriots are prepared to cut ties with Amendola if he doesn't show significant improvement this season. Amendola was brought in to replace Wes Welker but didn't come anywhere close to Welker's level of production, catching just 54 passes for 633 yards. You won't have to pay top-dollar for him on draft day.

Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola had his third 100-yard game of the season in Week 15 at Miami. He caught 10 balls for 131 yards on 14 targets.
Insight: That's three more than Wes Welker, for what it's worth. Amendola's first season in New England has been beset by injuries, but he's once again an important piece in this offense with Rob Gronkowski done for the year and rookies Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins also sidelined.

Insight: He missed last week's game with a concussion. We never know when Amendola's next injury is coming but when he's healthy, it's tough not to put him in your fantasy lineup.

Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (concussion) practiced on a limited basis for a third consecutive day on Friday.
Insight: According to ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss, Amendola has passed all his concussion tests. The addition of Amendola and the return of Rob Gronkowski makes the Pats' passing game a threat again.

Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (concussion) practiced on a limited basis for a third consecutive day on Friday.
Insight: He still has to complete a final independent test before he can play, but it's looking pretty good. If Amendola gets through the week without a recurrence of symptoms, he should start in Week 8 and would be a WR2.

Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (concussion) practiced for the second straight day Thursday.
Insight: He still has to complete a final independent test before he can play, but it's looking pretty good. If Amendola gets through the week without a recurrence of symptoms, he should start in Week 8 and would be a WR2.

10/23/2013 4:02:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (concussion) practiced Wednesday, according to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald.
Insight: That gives him a good chance of playing Sunday against the Dolphins. The Patriots don't divulge injury information but it's difficult to conceal concussion information, as we know a player has passed tests if they are allowed to practice. If Amendola gets through the week without a recurrence of symptoms, he should start in Week 8 and would be a WR2.

10/18/2013 1:18:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (concussion) did not practice Friday and won't be available for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Insight: Predictably, New England's big offseason acquisition has not been able to stay healthy. Sunday will mark Amendola's fourth absence of the season and we're only in Week 7.

10/17/2013 10:58:00 AM
Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (concussion) did not practice again Thursday, according to Boston Herald beat reporter Jeff Howe.
Insight: New England officially confirmed that Amendola has a concussion, but it typical fashion they aren't revealing much else. We don't expect him to play in Week 7.

10/16/2013 6:59:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (concussion) did not practice Wednesday, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston.
Insight: New England officially confirmed that Amendola has a concussion. He's a long shot to play Sunday against the Jets, leaving Julian Edelman, Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson as the top three wideouts for the Pats.

10/15/2013 8:23:00 PM
Description: The Patriots have yet to offer an update on receiver Danny Amendola (probable concussion).
Insight: According to Tom Curran of CSN New England, the Patriots have put out the word to quit talking about any injured players after there were numerous leaks about Rob Gronkowski in the past few weeks. The Patriots were already pretty tight-lipped regarding injuries, so if we can't count on leaks it's going to be a guessing game as to whether Amendola plays.

10/13/2013 6:45:00 PM
Description: Patriots wideout Danny Amendola left Sunday's game in the third quarter with a concussion.
Insight: He'll finish the day with two catches for zero yards and one rushing attempt for one yard. Rookies Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson should see more looks in Amendola's absence.

10/6/2013 6:01:00 PM
Description: Patriots quarterback Tom Brady targeted Danny Amendola nine times in the receiver's return to action Sunday against the Bengals, but Amendola had just four catches for 55 yards.
Insight: Amendola dropped a couple of passes or he would have had a much better day. As is, he led the Pats in receiving yards and targets Sunday and should be a trustworthy fantasy receiver if he can stay on the field.

10/6/2013 10:05:00 AM
Description: FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Patriots receiver Danny Amendola will play Sunday against the Bengals but the team is planning to limit his reps.
Insight: He sat out the last three games with a groin injury. With Amendola playing but limited, it's anyone's guess as to who among Amendola, Julian Edelman and Kenbrell Thompkins will see the most targets from Tom Brady. All three are boom-or-bust WR3s.

10/5/2013 3:52:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola made the trip to Cincinnati with his teammates. He'll be a game-time call Sunday against the Bengals. SOURCE: Adam Schefter, ESPN
Insight: He's expected to play after sitting out the last three games with a groin injury. Amendola had ten catches for 104 yards in the opener and should produce a similar output on Sunday, assuming he's active.

Description: New England's top wide receiver Danny Amendola said he's "looking forward to Sunday." SOURCE: Field Yates, ESPN Boston
Insight: The Patriots are generally very tight-lipped when it comes to injuries and potential Sunday availability but this seems like a pretty big hint. After three weeks on the sidelines with a partially torn groin, it looks like Amendola is finally ready to return to the fold. Now the only question that remains is whether or not Amendola, a talented but extremely injury-prone commodity in recent seasons, will be able to make it through an entire 60 minutes of football Sunday at Cincinnati.

10/2/2013 1:53:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (groin) practiced Wednesday and has a good chance of returning to action Sunday.
Insight: Amendola has missed three straight games after catching 10 passes for 104 yards in Week 1. We won't likely get any solid information out of coach Bill Belichick, so your decision to start or sit him will have to wait until inactives are announced Sunday morning.

10/1/2013 8:06:00 PM
Description: ESPN Boston believes Patriots receiver Danny Amendola (groin) has a good chance of returning to action Sunday.
Insight: Amendola has missed three straight games after catching 10 passes for 104 yards in Week 1. If he plays Sunday against the Bengals, he'll be a top-20 receiving option.

9/29/2013 1:47:00 PM
Description: The Patriots are hoping to have wide receiver Danny Amendola (groin) back for Week 5. SOURCE: Albert Breer, NFL Network
Insight: They were hoping to have him back this week too, so take this statement with a grain of salt. It's another away game for the Patriots so we should know Amendola's status on Saturday before the team travels to Cincinnati.

9/28/2013 6:56:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter has confirmed that Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola will not play Sunday against Atlanta.
Insight: Amendola was never expected to play and according to Schefter, he didn't even make the trip to Atlanta with the rest of the team. Amendola's groin appears to be improving. We'll see if he's ready to go next week against Cincinnati.
