Description: Jeff Howe from the Boston Herald reports that the Patriots are set to release wide receiver Brandon Lloyd.
Insight: Lloyd's roller coaster season in 2012 included a 190-yard outing against San Francisco in Week 15, a two-touchdown game against St. Louis and a pair of one-catch performances versus Miami in Weeks 13 and 17. Lloyd's next team will be his seventh in the last eight seasons.

Description: According to CSNNE.com, a league source said that receiver Brandon Lloyd is not currently part of the Patriots' plans for 2013. Lloyd signed a three-year, $12 million contract last offseason but he isn't even listed on New England's projected depth chart for 2013.
Insight: Lloyd's enigmatic personality rubbed some people the wrong way, as did his aversion to contact and inability to find a consistent niche in the team's offense, according to CSNNE.com's Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran. That jives with a Boston Globe report from Tuesday.

2/26/2013 8:29:00 PM
Description: According to the Boston Globe, a team source said that Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd exhibited "erratic behavior in the locker room and on the practice field" last season.
Insight: Lloyd has a $3 million option bonus for next season but we doubt New England will pick it up. Cutting him would save the Pats $4.9 million against the cap, though there would be a $2 million hit in dead money spread out over two years.

Hot12/17/2012 5:24:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd had a career-high 190 yards on 10 receptions in Week 15 versus San Francisco. He's produced 279 yards on 17 receptions with two touchdowns the last two weeks.
Insight: Lloyd has returned to fantasy relevance the last two games after averaging 36 receiving yards per game in his previous nine.

11/11/2012 11:57:00 AM
Description: Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd (knee) is active Sunday against the Bills.
Insight: Lloyd had just two catches in Week 8 but both were touchdowns. He caught three balls with a score the last time New England played Buffalo but was mostly locked down the entire game. He's a risky play since his production has been inconsistent week-to-week.

Cold10/28/2012 12:22:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd (knee) is active Sunday versus St. Louis.
Insight: Lloyd was added to the injury report as questionable late in the week but he was never expected miss Sunday's game.

Cold10/26/2012 4:47:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd is expected to play Sunday against St. Louis according to ESPN.
Insight: Lloyd has been bothered by a knee injury almost the whole season but has still yet to miss a game. Lloyd has caught just 53.8 percent of the passes Tom Brady has thrown to him this season.

Cold10/22/2012 11:17:00 AM
Description: New England wideout Brandon Lloyd caught just one of the eight passes intended for him on Sunday.
Insight: This comes on the heels of last week's shaky outing in Seattle when Llloyd hauled in a mere six catches on 12 targets. Lloyd is getting plenty of looks but for some reason he and Brady just haven't been connecting. He's on pace to end the year with 930 yards and two touchdowns, which is respectable but well below Lloyd's fantasy expectations at the start of the year.

10/17/2012 6:07:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd (shoulder) is not on the Week 7 injury report. Lloyd was injured attempting to make a diving catch on the sideline in the fourth quarter last week.
Insight: Patriots coach Bill Belichick has never hesitated to add a player to the injury report (just look at how many times has Tom Brady been on the list for something as minor as a sore shoulder in his career), so this is a big development for Lloyd owners.

10/15/2012 7:59:00 PM
Description: Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd has a bruised shoulder, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Insight: Lloyd was injured attempting to make a diving catch on the sideline in the fourth quarter. We're going to have to play a lot of guessing games this week given New England's secretive policy regarding team information.

9/30/2012 5:16:00 PM
Description: New England receiver Brandon Lloyd was able to salvage a quiet day Sunday by hauling in a spectacular touchdown catch with four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Insight: Stephon Gilmore did an excellent job defending Lloyd most of the afternoon, limiting the former Pro-Bowler to just two catches for 50 yards. Lloyd will have a chance to bounce back next week at home against his old team, the Denver Broncos.

9/24/2012 9:34:00 AM
Description: Patriots wideout Brandon Lloyd was once again Tom Brady's go-to guy Sunday night against the Ravens. Lloyd caught nine passes for 108 yards.
Insight: Lloyd has 22 receptions for 237 yards over the first three games. He's yet to find the end zone so his value is limited in standard scoring leagues but you have to like all the targets he's been getting.

9/23/2012 7:16:00 PM
Description: Patriots wideout Brandon Lloyd is listed as active for Sunday night's game versus the Ravens. Lloyd was limited in practice this week because of a sore thigh.
Insight: Baltimore's defense is always a tough assignment for wide receivers but remember, New England will be without star tight end Aaron Hernandez and Wes Welker hasn't been on the field as often this season as he has been in years past. We're guessing the former Broncos receiver will be fairly involved in this one.

9/21/2012 6:21:00 PM
Description: New England receiver Brandon Lloyd (thigh) has been limited in practice for three straight days and remains questionable for Sunday night's game against Baltimore.
Insight: We expect Lloyd to play but we'll monitor the situation since fantasy owners won't have other options to plug in on Sunday night.

9/20/2012 12:57:00 PM
Description: New England receiver Brandon Lloyd was limited in practice Wednesday because of an injured thigh.
Insight: The Patriots are famous for being deceiving in their injury reports so ignore the questionable label they're giving him. We're almost certain he'll be on the field Sunday night in Baltimore.

8/16/2012 5:21:00 PM
Description: According to ESPN Boston, Patriots wide receiver Brandon Lloyd has lived up to his billing as a "dynamic perimeter receiver" in training camp, catching "almost everything thrown his way."
Insight: Lloyd will have to battle Rob Gronkowski and Wes Welker for targets, but the Patriots have lacked a vertical threat since they traded Randy Moss, and Lloyd could fill that void as a big-play WR2. Plus, New England certainly throws the ball enough to support three starting quality players in fantasy.

Description: New England Patriots newly acquired deep threat, Brandon Lloyd, has looked very good in OTA.
Insight: Lloyd was a huge factor two years ago in Denver (NFL-leading 1,448 receiving yards) and even last year playing for both Denver and St. Louis he posted 966 yards and five scores. Now he's in a Tom Brady offense. The only question for 2012 is how many times he'll be targeted while sharing distribution with Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Jabar Gaffney, Deion Branch and Aaron Hernandez.

3/18/2012 9:23:00 AM
Description: Brandon Lloyd will be playing for the New England Patriots in 2012. The free agent receiver signed Saturday for three years and $12 million.
Insight: This is the big-play receiver the Patriots needed. Lloyd was a monster two years ago in Denver (NFL-leading 1,448 receiving yards) and even in a down year, he was still pretty solid for the Broncos and Rams last year (966 yards, five touchdowns). He'll likely replace Deion Branch as New England's primary deep threat. The only negative here is that Lloyd will have to compete for targets with Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Aaron Hernandez and Anthony Gonzalez.

Description: Broncos traded WR Brandon Lloyd to the Rams for a sixth-round pick in 2012 that could become a fifth-rounder based on performance clauses. Source: Jim Thomas via Twitter
Insight: Broncos traded WR Brandon Lloyd to the Rams for a sixth-round pick in 2012 that could become a fifth-rounder based on performance clauses. The Broncos told him not to report to the facility today and he should fit in well with the Rams and Josh McDaniels's offense. The Rams need receivers and playmakers and Lloyd looks like he can fit that bill. With Mike Sims-Walker in the doghouse, Lloyd's fantasy value should see a slight increase with the move to the Rams and it will definitely help Sam Bradford and Steven Jackson going forward.
