Description: Free agent wideout Laurent Robinson (concussions) worked out for the Jets on Monday, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN New York.
Insight: His former team, the Jaguars, went for youth in Cecil Shorts III and Justin Blackmon. Robinson and another concussion-prone receiver, Austin Collie, are both looking for jobs. Catching on in New York wouldn't produce much fantasy value for either one, unless Mark Sanchez or Geno Smith prove to be viable fantasy quarterbacks.

Description: Jacksonville wideout Laurent Robinson (concussion) has been placed on the IR, according to a John Clayton report.
Insight: The Jaguars were going with their youth anyway - Cecil Shorts III and Justin Blackmon.
10/31/2012 1:57:00 PM
Description: Jacksonville wideout Laurent Robinson (concussion) is no longer on the injury list.
Insight: The problem for Robinson is wrestling the starting job away from Cecil Shorts who has been the Jaguars' best receiver the past two weeks. In that span Shorts has 12 receptions for 195 yards and a touchdown so Robinson will have a hard time getting his starting job back.
10/15/2012 2:25:00 PM
Description: Jacksonville wideout Laurent Robinson was unable to pass his latest concussion test, according to Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey.
Insight: Robinson will undergo another test on Tuesday and still hasn't been ruled out for Week 7, but fantasy owners should plan for his absence.
10/9/2012 12:42:00 PM
Description: Jacksonville wideout Laurent Robinson will not practice at all this week after his third concussion in the last two months.
Insight: This looks like its going to be a multi-week problem and fantasy owners should be looking elsewhere for wide receiver help. A tough break for owners who remember his 11 touchdown season just a year ago.
10/5/2012 7:00:00 PM
Description: Jacksonville wideout Laurent Robinson won't play Sunday against the Bears after suffering concussions in consecutive weeks.
Insight: A year after reeling in 11 touchdown catches, Robinson has still yet to find the end zone in 2012. He probably wouldn't have produced anything fantasy-worthy this week anyway against a Chicago team that picked off Tony Romo five times in Week 4.
10/1/2012 3:13:00 PM
Description: Jaguars wideout Laurent Robinson took another blow to the head and will undergo concussion tests this week. He also left the game against Indiianapolis in Week 3 with a head injury.
Insight: This is getting to be a habit fantasy owners don't want to see. He will miss some time starting with Week 5. Justin Blackmon should continue to improve.
9/23/2012 3:25:00 PM
Description: Jaguars wideout Laurent Robinson had to leave Sunday's game against Indianapolis in the first quarter after taking a hit to the head. He's out for the rest of the game.
Insight: It sounds like Robinson might have suffered a concussion. Justin Blackmon should get more looks from Blaine Gabbert now that Robinson's day is over.
8/3/2012 11:16:00 AM
Description: Jacksonville wide receiver Laurent Robinson (head) sat out Thursday's morning practice, but did participate in the afternoon walkthrough according to beat writer John Oehser.
Insight: Robinson will likely be the Jaguars top receiver this season with talented rookie Justin Blackmon still not yet signed. But beware of overvaluing that statement as he'll be catching passes from Blaine Gabbert in 2012, not Tony Romo. His statistics, particularly his touchdowns, are likely to take a big hit from the 11 scores he pulled down in 2011.
3/15/2012 9:17:00 AM
Description: Laurent Robinson is headed to the Jaguars. The former Cowboys receiver signed with Jacksonville for five years and $32 million.
Insight: Robinson had a career year with Dallas in 2011, nearly doubling his career high in receiving yards. He'll be the featured receiver for the Jaguars but remember with shaky second-year quarterback Blaine Gabbert at the helm, Jacksonville's offense will still be pretty run-heavy next season.
11/29/2010 3:02:00 PM
Description: Robinson had four catches for 58 yards against Denver on Sunday.
Insight: Robinson now looks to be healthy, with nine catches over the past two games. (
10/1/2010 2:18:00 PM
Description: Rams WR Laurent Robinson (foot) is doubtful against the Seahawks. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: The only Rams receiver to own right now is Mark Clayton anyway.
9/15/2010 5:06:00 PM
Description: Rams WR Laurent Robinson missed today's practice after undergoing an MRI on his injured right ankle.
Insight: RB Steven Jackson also had an MRI which came back clean. Both are expected to start Week 2 against Oakland.
6/18/2010 1:11:00 AM
Description: The Belleville News Democrat reports Robinson (right ankle/leg) has moved his rehab activities to the field and expects to be 100 percent by the time training camp starts in July.
Insight: Robinson suffered a severe broken leg and sprained ankle in Week 3 of 2009, and he could be the Rams' No. 1 or 2 wide receiver if he can be healthy. (
4/6/2010 1:11:00 AM
Description: The St. Louis Post Dispatch reports Robinson (leg/ankle) expects to be fully recovered for OTAs in mid-May.
Insight: Robinson played just two games in 2009 before suffering a broken leg and severe ankle sprain. As long as he's healthy, he should compete for a starting spot at WR for the Rams. (
3/11/2010 1:53:00 AM
Description: Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch lists Robinson (fractured fibula) as the Rams' No.1 wide receiver.
Insight: Given the fact he is coming off an injury, Robinson won't be handed a starting role but he had been the team's top WR prior to being injured early in 2009. (
2/23/2010 11:45:00 AM
Description: According to, Rams' GM Billy Devaney confirmed that Robinson (right leg/ankle) will be ready for the start of the offseason program in March.
Insight: Robinson should have a chance to start for the Rams next season, as long as he can return to health. (
Out9/28/2009 4:47:00 PM
Description: Updating a previous item, according to "injury expert" Will Carroll on Twitter, Robinson (right leg) has a fractured fibula and will require surgery.
Insight: This is bad news for a Rams' offense that already lacks in WR talent. (
Out9/28/2009 10:27:00 AM
Description: According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Robinson (right knee) has a MCL injury that could be serious.
Insight: More should be known about the severity of the injury sometime Monday. Robinson had emerged as the Rams' No. 1 WR, so any absence he has would hurt the team. (
9/22/2009 2:25:00 PM
Description: Robinson had six receptions for 54 yards and the Rams' only touchdown in the team's 9-7 loss to Washington last Sunday.
Insight: The fantasy value of the Rams' wide receivers is limited by the overall lack of productivity the offense has shown so far this season (seven points in two games). But if you have to have a Ram WR, Robinson could be a decent waiver wire addition in deeper leagues. (
