Description: San Francisco wideout Randy Moss implied that he isn't planning on re-signing with the 49ers this offseason. SOURCE: Tom Curran, Comcast New England
Insight: Moss hasn't seen many targets from Colin Kaepernick this postseason and that obviously hasn't sat well with the veteran wide receiver. Some wondered if Moss might retire if the 49ers won the Super Bowl but it appears the 35-year-old is dead-set on playing again in 2013. It just doesn't look like he'll be playing for the 49ers.

12/25/2012 9:27:00 AM
Description: San Francisco receiver Randy Moss is going to have to come up big in the season finale and into the playoffs with Mario Manningham done for the season with a knee injury and Vernon Davis' status up in the air after suffering a concussion.
Insight: Moss saw a season-high six targets against Seattle, catching three for 44 yards. He could be useful in playoff fantasy leagues.

9/24/2012 4:41:00 PM
Description: San Francisco receiver Randy Moss only played seven snaps in the second half, according to csnbayarea.com.
Insight: Moss saw six targets but only caught three for 27 yards. The veteran let a high pass skip through his hands in the first half. Through three weeks, Moss has yet to reach 100 yards receiving and has just one touchdown on eight catches so he can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

9/10/2012 9:55:00 AM
Description: San Francisco receiver Randy Moss moved into second on the all-time receiving touchdowns list in Week 1, moving past Terrell Owens with his 154th career receiving TD.
Insight: Moss caught four passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. The veteran's value is going to be solely tied to his ability to find the end zone so expect a few goose eggs along the way this season.

8/16/2012 4:46:00 PM
Description: ESPN NFC West reporter Mike Sando confirmed SI.com's Jim Trotter's expectation that San Francisco will only play wide receiver Randy Moss 20-25 plays per game.
Insight: Sando said a "rotational role" appears to be the likely scenario for Moss. The 35-year-old will have to compete with Mario Manningham, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis and rookie A.J. Jenkins for targets, so he may struggle to have consistent fantasy value on a team that figures to run the ball a lot.

8/13/2012 12:07:00 PM
Description: San Francisco wide receiver Randy Moss will likely be limited to 20-25 plays a game to keep him fresh, says Jim Trotter of SI.com.
Insight: If true, Moss is going to have very little fantasy value. If Moss is playing as well as they say he is, it might be hard to keep him off the field that much, though the 49ers are suddenly deep at receiver with the additions of Moss, Mario Manningham and A. J. Jenkins.

8/11/2012 12:07:00 PM
Description: San Francisco wide receiver Randy Moss played sparingly in the 49ers first preseason game and didn't catch a pass.
Insight: It's early, but it is usually better to get a guy like Moss involved in a game to keep him happy. It's still too soon to know what to expect from Moss this season. He still has stuff left in the tank, but whether we will see enough of it to make him fantasy-worthy is another story. Stay tuned.

7/31/2012 9:36:00 PM
Description: San Francisco wide receiver Randy Moss "absolutely has something left" in Sports Illustrated writer Peter King's opinion.
Insight: If Moss does come back strong, that would mean his lackluster 2010 season was nothing more than another mail-in by the wide receiver rather than a decline in skills. While he may have burned some bridges with fantasy owners, it would be foolish to ignore his upside as long as he doesn't come with too high of a price tag.

6/22/2012 12:23:00 PM
Description: San Francisco wide receiver Randy Moss has practiced very well at the minicamps and apparently will enter training camp as a starter.
Insight: The question with Moss is never about talent, its about motivation. If he comes to play on every down he can be a dynamic receiver, but if his head's not in the game he can disappear as he did in Oakland and Tennessee.

5/30/2012 1:20:00 PM
Description: San Francisco's newly acquired wide receiver Randy Moss has impressed teammate Vernon Davis. "He caught a pass, there were three guys on him in practice, and he went up with two hands, and he looked like the old Randy Moss that I used to watch when I was in high school and college."
Insight: The question with Moss is never about talent, its about motivation. If he comes to play on every down he can be a dynamic receiver, butr if his head's not in the game he can disappear as he did in Oakland.

5/2/2012 12:35:00 PM
Description: Wide receiver Randy Moss isn't guaranteed playing time or targets in San Fransisco as he's likely starting behind Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham and even rookie A.J. Jenkins.
Insight: If Moss is motivated, he's still big and fast enough to create havoc in a secondary, but that's a huge question mark. He'll likely be selected well before his actual fantasy value based on name recognition making him a risky draft day selection. You will need training camp and exhibition games to determine his true value.

Description: The Dallas Cowboys aren't interested in WR Randy Moss. SOURCE: ESPN DALLAS
Insight: Moss said he would definitely consider signing with the Cowboys if they asked, but apparently it doesn't matter to Dallas as they won't even ask.

Description: Despite the fact that the Patriots have some holes to fill at WR, sources close to front office personnel have reported they absolutely won't pursue free-agent WR (and former Patriot) Randy Moss. SOURCE: BOSTON HERALD
Insight: The New England Patriots traded wide receiver Randy Moss to the Vikings last season and was subsequently moved to Tennessee to end the season. Moss clearly wanted to return to New England as soon as it was possible, but Bill Belichick and other front office people have made it clear they have no desire to re-sign an aging wide receiver like Moss, no matter what he did for them in the past.

Description: Jets QB Mark Sanchez said he believes that Titans impending free-agent WR Randy Moss still has the ability to make an impact on a team. SOURCE: NFL.COM
Insight: Remember, the Jets are believed to be the front-runners for Moss's services, so Sanchez could be paying some lip service for the veteran WR. When a QB endorses a WR, it makes them that much more likely to want to play there. "I'm sure he still has some big catches left in him. Any type of deep threat like that in a big, tall target is always a good addition for your team," Sanchez said.

4/12/2011 4:33:00 PM
Description: Contrary to earlier reports, the Jets do not have interest in WR Randy Moss. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: ESPN's Rich Cimini considers the move "a disaster" and it's hard to disagree. Given Moss' age and propensity to blow up, the Jets should look elsewhere if possible. We don't see Moss being too keen on playing for a run-heavy offense.

3/16/2011 1:00:00 PM
Description: During a recent radio interview, free agent WR Randy Moss said he wants to return to the Patriots for the 2011 season. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: "I love Tom Brady and I love playing for coach Belichick." Moss also said he wouldn't mind a return to the Vikings, but that isn't going to happen since Leslie Frazier saw first hand what kind of guy Moss is off the field. Don't be surprised if the Patriots express interest if no one else does. Moss should come cheap.

Description: Rams HC Steve Spagnuolo didn't rule out the possibility that the team might pursue free agent WR Randy Moss. SOURCE: BOSTON HERALD
Insight: It's an iffy proposition, but newly-hired OC Josh McDaniels worked with Moss in New England, so he already knows the system. The Rams had interest when Moss was waived by the Vikings, but is he worth it knowing he could be a bad influence on such a young receiving corps? Hopefully, 2010 humbled Moss to the point where he knows he is running out of chances.

Description: During a recent interview, Titans HC Mike Munchak didn't rule out the possibility of re-signing free agent WR Randy Moss. SOURCE: PRO FOOTBALL TALK
Insight: We doubt it. Maybe if Moss actually had showed something while on the team, we might consider it. But he barely even saw the field and the chances of him exploding like he did in Minnesota is just too great. Expect Moss somewhere else, possibly on a one-year deal.

Description: Free agent WR Randy Moss is not expected to return as a Titan in 2011. SOURCE: NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN
Insight: Moss was so bad in Tennessee that the offense couldn't even use him as a decoy. He has stated that he has interest in returning, but the relationship isn't amicable. Moss will have to sign a one-year deal somewhere else like Owens did in Cincinnati.

Description: It's believed that Titans WR Randy Moss only played one snap against the Chiefs Sunday. SOURCE: NASHVILLE TENNESSEAN
Insight: Even though Moss doesn't have much of a role on the offense, he still likes being a Titan and wants to come back. However, this could be a way for Moss to look like a model player in the hopes that he signs somewhere else. Moss' dynasty value is shakier than ever.
