Insight: Foster led the league with 27 rushing attempts in Week 1 and also had two catches. New head coach Bill O'Brien has made it clear that he will use Foster as a work-horse back. With the Texans visiting Oakland this week, Foster may lead the league in carries again for Week 2.

Insight: Foster didn't participate in the entire session, as the team is likely trying to manage his reps to make sure he gets to the regular season 100 percent healthy. The running back will likely finish in the top three in the NFL in touches if he stays on the field.

Insight: Foster has missed most of camp with a hamstring injury, but O'Brien said the running back has a chance to play in the team's second preseason game. We'll see if he returns to practice this week. Foster remains a high-risk, high-reward first-round fantasy pick.

Insight: Foster has good hands for a halfback, averaging 405.3 receiving yards per season since 2010. Opting for shorter passes could also improve Ryan Fitzpatrick's completion percentage. It's a win/win for everyone.

Description: Arian Foster tweeted that he's been medically cleared. The Texans halfback underwent back surgery in November.
Insight: Foster ran for 4.5 yards per carry last season which is consistent with his career average. With Houston likely to use a rookie quarterback in 2014, Foster is going to see a ton of work next season. He should be a first-round pick in most fantasy drafts this summer.

Insight: Foster should be ready for training camp, but his inability to stay healthy has to concern fantasy owners and the Texans. Ben Tate is likely to leave in free agency so expect Houston to draft a running back not long after selecting a quarterback of the future.

Insight: The Texans' nightmare season continues. Foster will finish the season with 542 yards on 121 carries. He scored just two touchdowns (one receiving, one rushing). If you've been stashing Ben Tate as a handcuff, now is the time to get him into your starting lineup.

Given the Texans season is pretty much a lost cause, he might opt to fix his back as soon as possible in hopes to be ready for next season. Insight: Foster has seen doctors the last two days to try and diagnose his back injury. He's unlikely to play Sunday against the Cardinals after leaving early in each of the last two games. Ben Tate, who is also banged up with broken ribs, will start in Foster's place after rushing for 81 yards on 22 carries Sunday night and is a solid flex option.
