Insight: The writing was on the wall for the aging Galloway after his free fall on the depth chart. We doubt anyone claims him. The Redskins have signed WR Terrence Austin from the practice squad to fill Galloway's roster spot.

Insight: One of Galloway's routes led to an interception and he had dropped a first-down pass earlier, which led to just one snap for the rest of the game. Galloway had already lost his starting job to Anthony Armstrong, so the veteran is slowly sliding down the depth chart. A free agent in 2011 and soon-to-be 39 years old, we have officially seen the last of Galloway as an NFL player after this year.

Description: The Washington Post reports Galloway remains the favorite to start opposite Santana Moss in Week 1 against Dallas.
Insight: The Redskins may be interested in T.J. Houshmandzdeh, but it is unlikely he would push Galloway out of a starting spot so quickly. (

Description: The Washington Post reports Galloway may begin the season as a starter for the Redskins.
Insight: This news says more about Galloway's competition (Devin Thomas, Malcom Kelly, etc.) than the 38 year old's skills. (Rapid

Description: reports the Redskins have signed Galloway to a one-year deal.
Insight: Galloway began 2009 with the Patriots, but eventually wound up on the Steelers' roster. At age 38, his downfield speed is basically gone and his fantasy impact is likely to be minimal if he even makes the Redskins' roster. (

Description: Galloway was released by the Steelers.
Insight: The 38 year old is staring retirement in the face at this point. He hasn't had fantasy value for awhile now and is proof positive that Father Time catches up to all of us eventually. (

Description: According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Steelers have signed Galloway.
Insight: Galloway was released by the Patriots earlier in the season. At 38 years old, he is unlikely to make much of an impact for the Steelers. (

Description: Galloway was released by the Patriots on Tuesday.
Insight: Galloway has done little this season but will likely find a new home in the very near future. Kansas City and Baltimore are two possible destinations. (
9/8/2009 1:32:00 PM
Description: Galloway appears to have won the job as the Patriots' No. 3 wide receiver.
Insight: The release of Greg Lewis seemed to cement this. If Galloway can build some rapport with Tom Brady, he could provide some big-play potential for New England. (
9/3/2009 12:49:00 PM
Description: According to the Boston Globe, Galloway and QB Ton Brady have had trouble getting on the same page this preseason.
Insight: Galloway could still have some fantasy value once the regular season starts, even as New England's No. 3 wide receiver. (

Description: Pro Football Weekly reports that Galloway looks like the clear leader for the Patriots' No. 3 receiver spot.
Insight: It would be surprising if the veteran doesn't claim that role. Jabar Gaffney put up some solid numbers there over the past two seasons, so don't overlook Galloway as a late-round fantasy option. He could fill in during bye weeks. (
3/16/2009 1:24:00 AM
Description: Galloway signed a one-year deal with the Patriots on Saturday. The veteran wideout was released by Tampa shortly before the beginning of free agency.
Insight: Galloway certainly won't be a fantasy star as, at best, the No. 3 receiver in New England. If he can settle into the role just given up by Jabar Gaffney, though, his 35-40 catches, 450-500 yards and 2-5 touchdowns could offer some spot-starting value. (
3/10/2009 11:36:00 AM
Description: Galloway visited the Steelers on Monday. He was released by Tampa Bay last month, just before the beginning of free agency.
Insight: The Steelers could be looking to replace Nate Washington as a downfield threat, a role that Limas Sweed isn't necessarily cut out for. If Galloway were to fill such a role for the Steelers, he wouldn't offer much of a fantasy return. (
2/25/2009 9:40:00 PM
Description: The Bucs released Galloway on Wednesday. He caught just 13 passes in an injury-plagued 2008.
Insight: Galloway turned 37 in November, which only makes the injury stuff more worrisome. It wouldn't be shocking if he catches on somewhere as long as he's willing to take a deal near the league minimum. He won't be worth anything more than a late-round flier at best in fantasy, though. (
11/13/2008 10:21:00 AM
Description: Galloway has been slowly working his way back into the offense but has yet to register big numbers. There are three receivers with more yards than Galloway.
Insight: Consider him a low-end No. 2 option at receiver this week. Tampa Bay faces a tough Minnesota defense in Week 11. (
10/29/2008 11:04:00 AM
Description: Galloway had three catches for 38 yards in his return to the Buc?s line-up. Galloway will look to get more involved with the offense as his health and conditioning will allow.
Insight: Galloway made his return to the field in Week 7 after missing the past five games with a foot injury. (
10/23/2008 2:01:00 PM
Description: Galloway has been nursing an injured foot and has not played in the last five games. He has had limited practice and is listed as questionable for Week 8.
Insight: Galloway might try to make it onto the field with the injury to Ike Hilliard. Monitor his progress but only start him if you have no other options. (
Questionable10/17/2008 8:23:00 AM
Description: Galloway has practiced on a limited basis this week, and the Tampa Tribune reports that he's expected to be active for the Sunday night game against Seattle.
Insight: Galloway hasn't played since Week 2 and seems unlikely to start or see his usual allotment of pass targets this week. However, it shouldn't take him long to become a primary option again. No receiver has proven to be a consistent producer for the Bucs in his absence. (
Questionable10/9/2008 9:13:00 PM
Description: Galloway returned to practice on a limited basis Thursday. He has been out since Week 2 with a foot injury.
Insight: It doesn't appear likely that Galloway will be back this Sunday (or at least not ready to start if he does play). Getting on the field in Week 7, though, would give him three games before the bye. (
