Description: Jordan rushed five times for 27 yards on Sunday against the Raiders.
Insight: Jordan saw action for the first time since Week 5 against New England as the Broncos were without Correll Buckhalter. (

Description: According to Woody Paige of the Denver Post, Jordan will be the Broncos' short-yardage back.
Insight: Paige then apparently contradicts himself by saying when Knowshon Moreno is 100% healthy, Darius Walker will be signed off the practice squad to replace Jordan. In any case, Jordan is very low on the depth chart right now and not worth much fantasy consideration. (

Description: According to the Denver Post, Jordan is in danger of not making the Broncos' final roster.
Insight: Jordan has been dealing with a leg injury during the preseason, and is behind Knowshon Moreno, Correll Buckhalter and Peyton Hillis on the depth chart. (

Description: The Denver Post reports that Jordan has been getting first-team reps ahead of rookie Knowshon Moreno, though the first-year player stepped in for full-team live drills.
Insight: Jordan should carve out a decent role like he did late last season with the Patriots -- when his current coach, Josh McDaniels, was his offensive coordinator. Don't count on that role being a starting one, though. (

Description:'s Alex Marvez reports that the Broncos have reached a deal with the free-agent runner. Jordan spent last season with the Patriots, playing under new Denver head coach Josh McDaniels when McDaniels was New England's offensive coordinator.
Insight: The Broncos have now added Jordan and Correll Buckhalter to a group that still includes Peyton Hillis, Ryan Torain, Selvin Young and various other CFL all-stars. The team also nearly added J.J. Arrington and tried to sign Derrick Ward. Unless the Denver offense is planning a truly revolutionary alignment, some current Bronco backs will soon be on their way out. I'd look at Young and Torain first. Jordan got some good work in late last year for the Patriots, so we'll see if he can carve out a worthwhile role with his new team. (

Description: A game after returning from his eight-week injury vacation, Jordan picked up 97 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries against the Raiders Sunday.
Insight: Unfortunately for Jordan, he won't face the Raiders every week. Don't go chasing him on the waiver wire. (
11/23/2008 7:01:00 AM
Description: LaMont Jordan has officially been ruled out of today's game, as expected. That leaves Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk and BenJarvus Green-Ellis in the still crowded Pats backfield. (
Doubtful11/20/2008 5:47:00 PM
Description: Jordan did not practice on Thursday due to a calf injury.
Insight: Jordan has not played in six weeks and is unlikely to suit up against the Dolphins in Week 12. (
11/9/2008 11:34:00 AM
Description: LaMont Jordan is inactive once again for the Patriots, leaving more carries for Kevin Faulk and BenJarvus Green-Ellis. (
Questionable11/8/2008 12:05:00 PM
Description: Jordan continues to miss practice time with his injured calf, but he has had his playing status upgraded from doubtful to questionable for this week.
Insight: Jordan probably won't be a fantasy option for the rest of the year. If he does play, though, he could take some carries away from BenJarvus Green-Ellis. (
