Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass led the team in scoring coming off the bench on Wednesday.
Insight: Bass had 18 points, shooting 6-of-10 and making all six free throws. Unfortunately, Bass contributed very little in other categories with just two rebounds.

Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass came off the bench to lead Boston with 23 points on Wednesday against the 76ers.
Insight: Bass shot 9-of-13 and made 5-out-of-7 free throws. He also had six rebounds, and one of everything else: assist, steal, block. He still isn't worth owning in standard leagues.
10/18/2014 7:17:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass is turning into an irrelevant fantasy player.
Insight: Bass has started at power forward for Boston the last few seasons, but Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk are poised to start in the front court for the Celtics to start the 2014-2015 season. Bass will have a bench role and will not be worth owning.

Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass (eye) will play Wednesday, according to Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
Insight: Bass was poked in the eye Monday and experienced blurred vision. He's been a nice low-end choice averaging 10.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.0 bpg.

Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass was poked in the eye in Monday's game and did not return.
Insight: Bass will be a game-time decision for Wednesday's contest with San Antonio due to the resulting blurred vision. He's been a nice low-end choice averaging 10.8 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 1.1 apg, 1.0 bpg.
2/2/2014 5:42:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass' 36 minutes Sunday were his most since Dec. 13.
Insight: Bass scored 19 points with nine rebounds and a block against Orlando, his former team. The 28-year-old recently regained the starting power forward job from Kris Humphries but coach Brad Stevens frequently changes his lineup.
1/26/2014 9:14:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass returned to the starting lineup and had 17 points, eight rebounds and one steal while making 6-of-6 from the field over 34 minutes Sunday against the Nets.
Insight: Bass replaced Kris Humphries, who played just 18 minutes. It's unclear if this is a long-term switch or one based on the opponent. Humphries came in averaging 26 minutes, 10.4 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over his last 14 games (10 starts).
11/8/2013 9:48:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass has scored 36 points and grabbed 11 rebounds with three blocks over the last two games.
Insight: Bass has played nearly 33 minutes per game this season despite the presence of Kelly Olynyk and Jared Sullinger off the bench. He's averaging 13.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 0.8 steals this season.
10/30/2013 10:19:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass played 32 minutes and made 6-of-7 shots (5-5 FT) for 17 points with two boards, two assists and two steals Wednesday against Toronto.
Insight: We cannot accurately judge Boston's rotation until Jared Sullinger returns from his one-game suspension, but with Sullinger, Kelly Olynyk and Kris Humphries on the roster, Bass has a lot of competition for minutes.
10/30/2013 6:32:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass will start Wednesday's game against Toronto.
Insight: Bass will see most of the power forward minutes in the season opener with Jared Sullinger serving a one-game suspension, but the two will split minutes when both are active.
Hot4/7/2013 9:25:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass had one of his better games of the season Sunday night in a win over Washington.
Insight: Bass (20 points) has averaged 17 ppg and 6.7 rpg over his last three contests. Of greater significance is the fact that despite Kevin Garnett's return from an ankle injury, Bass remained in the starting lineup and played 36 minutes.
3/27/2013 9:44:00 PM
Description: Boston power forward Brandon Bass netted a season-high 22 points Wednesday against Cleveland.
Insight: Bass led all players in scoring. He was 8-of-14 from the field and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe. He's got nice touch for a big man and could have sleeper potential the next two weeks in Kevin Garnett's absence.
2/13/2013 10:09:00 PM
Description: Power forward Brandon Bass led the Celtics in points (14), field goals (six) and minutes (40) Wednesday in a 71-69 win over Chicago.
Insight: That's the most points Bass has had in a game since November 28th against Brooklyn (16). Bass (7.6 ppg) recorded double-digit points seven times in the first month of the season but has only reached that threshold eight times since then.
2/1/2013 4:17:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass should start at PF for the Celtics with Jared Sullinger done for the season with a bad back.
Insight: Bass is averaging 7.5 ppg and 4.8 rpg this season. He was solid in 39 starts last season posting 12.9 ppg and 6.2 rpg.
10/30/2012 10:58:00 PM
Description: Celtics forward Brandon Bass started and scored 15 points with 11 rebounds on 6-of-11 shooting in 28 minutes Tuesday versus Miami.
Insight: Bass averaged 12.5 points and 6.2 rebounds in 31.5 mpg last season and it's difficult to see him improving upon those numbers with rookie Jared Sullinger in the fold. Sullinger only played eight minutes Tuesday but he'll likely cut into Bass' minutes as the season wears on.
10/24/2012 4:55:00 PM
Description: Celtics power forward Brandon Bass is expected to start opening night against the Heat.
Insight: Boston's other option would be rookie Jared Sullinger, who has averaged 10.9 ppg in the preseason. Bass tallied 9.9 ppg on 50 percent shooting against Miami last year in the conference finals.
10/10/2012 9:38:00 PM
Description: Gary Washburn from the Boston Globe reports that Celtics head coach Doc Rivers has suggested that Brandon Bass isn't a lock to open the season as the team's starting power forward.
Insight: The Celtics are much deeper than they have been in past seasons after adding rookie Jared Sullinger and veteran Darko Milicic at power forward during the offseason. Bass is still the favorite to start but he may not be see as many minutes as the 31.7 per game he logged last season.
7/5/2012 9:58:00 PM
Description: Boston forward Brandon Bass has agreed to stay with the Celtics for three more seasons.
Insight: Bass contributed career highs in points (12.5 ppg) and rebounds (6.2 rpg) as the Celtics' starting power forward last season. He was also the team's best free-throw shooter during the postseason (92 percent).
5/21/2012 9:38:00 PM
Description: Brandon Bass produced his best performance of the playoffs Monday in Boston's Game 5 win over the 76ers. Bass led the Celtics with 27 points on 9-13 shooting. He also knocked down nine of his 10 free throw attempts.
Insight: Bass was a monster on the offensive side of the ball Monday, hitting jumpers, going to the hole for easy dunks and hitting nearly all of his free throws when he was fouled. He also grabbed a team-high six rebounds. If Bass can continue to score like this going forward, the Celtics are going to be extremely difficult to stop.
