Golden State Warriors (10-7) at Detroit Pistons (6-13), 7:30 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors start a season-long, seven-game road trip Wednesday night, beginning with a showdown against the Detroit Pistons at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Golden State, which is 1-1 in the midst of nine straight games against the East, suffered a 102-94 setback Monday versus the Orlando Magic in the finale of a four-game homestand. The Warriors had a five-game home winning streak stopped and were led by Stephen Curry's 25 points and 11 assists.

David Lee posted 22 points and nine rebounds for Golden State. The Magic turned 14 Golden State turnovers into 23 points

"They were the more aggressive team," Warriors coach Mark Jackson admitted of the Magic. "They outworked us; we haven't been outworked in a long time."

Curry has recorded 20-plus points and 10 or more assists in three straight games for a Warriors team that has still won seven of the last 10 games. The Warriors are 13-3 all-time when Curry posts 20 points and 10 assists.

Jarrett Jack had 17 points in the loss to Orlando and has scored at least that many in three straight and four of his last five games. Golden State forward Richard Jefferson (calf) is doubtful for Wednesday's game.

The Warriors are 4-4 away from Oakland this season and will also visit Brooklyn, Washington, Charlotte, Miami, Orlando and Atlanta on the trek.

Detroit, meanwhile, will resume a three-game homestand and won for the third time in five tries with Monday's 89-79 triumph versus the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Brandon Knight had 17 points, five rebounds and five assists, while Tayshaun Prince and Kyle Singler both scored 15 points for the Pistons, who have won five straight at home for the first time since Nov. 29-Dec. 12, 2009. Singler is averaging 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in his last six games.

"I think we're definitely getting better defensively," said Knight, who is averaging 18.8 points in his last six games. "I think defensively we're getting a lot more effort from different guys on our team."

Jason Maxiell contributed 12 points, six rebounds and five blocks. Detroit, which got nine points, 14 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks from Greg Monroe, shot 42.9 percent from the floor in the game.

The 13 blocks for the Pistons were a season high. They are 5-3 at home and 1-10 on the road, and are averaging 12.1 more points at home than as the guest.

Detroit will close out the homestand Friday versus Chicago and lost the only meeting with Golden State last season. The Pistons have won six of the past nine games with the Warriors, losers in 15 of 17 trips to The Palace.
