Description: Chone Figgins is headed to the Dodgers on a minor league deal. SOURCE: Ken Rosenthal, Fox Sports
Insight: It's a coin flip as to whether or not he'll make the team out of spring training. Figgins hasn't logged a major league at bat since 2012. Figgins is a .277 lifetime hitter with 337 stolen bases in 1,244 career games.

2/8/2013 3:56:00 PM
Description: Utility player Chone Figgins signed a minor league deal with the Miami Marlins.
Insight: Figgins was a speed guy, who at his best, scored 113 runs and stole 62 bases. At 35-years-old and coming off a horrible season (.181, 2 HR, 11 RBI, 4 SB) he has zero fantasy value.

11/28/2012 4:01:00 PM
Description: The Mariners have officially parted ways with underachieving utility player Chone Figgins.
Insight: Figgins is coming off arguably his weakest season as a professional (.181, 2 HR, 11 RBI in 66 games). He's set to turn 35 in January and probably won't draw much interest on the free agent market.

10/4/2012 4:07:00 PM
Description: Third baseman Chone Figgins would welcome a trade out of Seattle during the offseason.
Insight: Figgins told SportsPressNW.com's John Hickey on Wednesday that he wants to be traded. He still has $9 million left on his contract so moving Figgins is a lot easier said than done. After his dismal two homer, 11 RBI campaign in 2012, we're guessing teams won't be jumping out of their seats to try and acquire the disgruntled veteran.

Cold5/3/2012 6:00:00 PM
Description: Chone Figgins went 0-4 Thursday in Seattle's 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay, dropping his season average to .189. Figgins is now hitless in his last 15 at bats.
Insight: What makes this even worse is that Figgins was only hitting .225 before his recent 0-for-15 slump. It hasn't been a great year for Figgins and if he continues this downward spiral he'll probably see less playing time in the future. Figgins, who has only two steals in 2012, is essentially useless in fantasy right now.

5/1/2012 3:44:00 PM
Description: Seattle third baseman/outfielder Chone Figgins is not in Tuesday's starting lineup.
Insight: Those who hoped Figgins was reverting back to his Angels days when he batted over .300 in the first week of the season have returned to reality. This is not a player you want to have in your starting lineup.

4/18/2012 3:48:00 PM
Description: After an 8-for-21 start, Chone Figgins has gone just 3-for-26 (.115) with zero steals in his last seven games.
Insight: Those who thought Figgins was reverting back to his Angels days, keep dreaming. This is not a player you want to own under any circumstances. He had just 11 steals last year in 81 games, so he doesn't even do that well anymore.

4/13/2011 5:32:00 PM
Description: Chone Figgins was out of the Mariners lineup on wednesday due to a sore thumb. Source: Greg Johns on Twitter
Insight: He could have played but it wasn't healed as much as he would like, so it's not too serious. Expect him to miss minimal time.

3/28/2011 5:28:00 PM
Description: The Mariners 3B Chone Figgins went 3 for 3 today in a game against the Rockies.
Insight: Figgins is most likely on a decline in his career but could still put up 30-40 steals this season for Seattle and his spring has certainly been encouraging.

3/27/2011 7:17:00 PM
Description: Chone Figgins homered today and is batting .356 in spring training.
Insight: He is likely to produce much more than he did last season now that he is comfortable in Seattle. Expect plenty of steals and a fair amount of runs scored.

2/20/2011 7:54:00 PM
Description: The Mariners will keep Chone Figgins in the number two spot in the batting order. SOURCE: SEATTLE TIMES
Insight: They need to leave him their to give him a chance to return some value on his contract. It's the best spot for his fantasy potential. The last thing his owners would want to see is him at the bottom of the AL's weakest lineup.

1/28/2011 10:10:00 AM
Description: The A's have talked to Seattle about a deal involving Kevin Kouzmanoff and Chone Figgins. SOURCE: CONTRA COSTA TIMES
Insight: It would be a good deal for Seattle since they could shed Figgins' contract at a time when few people expect them to compete for a playoff spot in the next two years. For the A's, it would be an upgrade at 3B but it adds a lot of salary and takes even more power out of a pretty powerless lineup.

1/7/2011 7:27:00 PM
Description: Chone Figgins will definitely start the season at 3B. SOURCE: EVERETT HERALD
Insight: We expect Brendan Ryan to start the year at 2B and keep the spot warm until Dustin Ackley takes over in the summer. Figgins is expected to improve in his second year in Seattle - he can't get much worse than last year.

12/12/2010 7:53:00 PM
Description: Chone Figgins may be moving back to 3B, following today's trade. SOURCE: SEATTLE TIMES
Insight: Figgins wasn't that excited about playing 2B last year and had a poor offensive season. Moving him back to his usual spot can't hurt.

9/30/2010 8:00:00 AM

Insight: Figgins now has 14 hits over his last ten games and is batting .265 with 21 doubles and 62 runs scored this season. (RapidDraft.com)

9/25/2010 8:05:00 AM
Description: Figgins went 1-for-4 with a steal and a run scored on Friday against the Rays.
Insight: Figgins stole his 41st base of the season, good for fifth in the American League. (RapidDraft.com)

9/22/2010 8:03:00 AM
Description: Figgins went 2-for-3 with a RBI and a walk on Tuesday against the Blue Jays.
Insight: Figgins is now batting .259 with a home run and 35 RBI on the year. (RapidDraft.com)

9/15/2010 9:00:00 AM
Description: Figgins went 4-for-4 with a RBI, steal and a run on Tuesday against the Red Sox.
Insight: Figgins has hits in seven straight games as he is batting .257 with 33 RBI and 39 steals so far this year. (RapidDraft.com)

9/15/2010 5:11:00 AM
Description: Ichiro Suzuki and Chone Figgins combined for seven hits last night and each stole their 39th base of the season.
Insight: While the Mariners have been a complete dud offensively this year, they will be one of one a couple teams to have two players reach 40 steals.

9/14/2010 8:04:00 AM
Description: Figgins went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base on Monday against Boston.
Insight: Figgins has hits in six straight games as he is now batting .251 with a home run, 32 RBI and 38 steals so far this year. (RapidDraft.com)
