Description: Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario is 6-for-14 with two homers, seven RBI and five runs over his last three games.
Insight: Rosario's 28/6 K/BB is subpar, but he has raised his line-drive rate from 17.3 percent to 21.7 percent since 2012 and has a 20.5 percent HR/FB on a 41.5 percent flyball rate. With all those flyballs, he's perfect for Coors Field.

Description: Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario is a career .455 hitter (1.509 OPS) versus two-time Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum.
Insight: Rosario's batting average has cooled over the past two weeks, but he's still doing everything fantasy owners expected of him before the season began - hitting for a decent average (.279) with plenty of power (8 HR, .815 OPS).

Description: Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against St. Louis. No injury, just a rest day after a night game.
Insight: Rosario is doing everything fantasy owners could want - hitting for a decent average (.295) with plenty of power (7 HR, .864 OPS). He continues to produce top-five fantasy value at the catching position.

4/14/2013 9:48:00 AM
Description: Rockies catcher Wilin Rosario torched the Padres for four hits Saturday night in San Diego.
Insight: Rosario raised his batting average from .290 to .361 in the victory. He's looking more and more like an All-Star every day. Fantasy owners would be crazy not to start Rosario on a daily basis.

Description: Second-year Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario could hit in the fifth spot in the Rockies lineup after his breakout season in 2012, according to a report by Thomas harding of MLB.com.
Insight: Rosario (.270, 28 HR, 71 RBI) spent most of last season near the back end of the Colorado lineup, hitting seventh more often than any other spot. Batting right behind Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki could be a huge boon to his RBI total.

7/23/2012 8:16:00 PM
Description: Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario is out of the lineup again Monday due to an ankle injury.
Insight: Rosario (.254, 15 HRs, 39 RBIs) has missed three straight games and remains day-to-day. Colorado doesn't think he'll need to go on the disabled list, but that could change if he doesn't return in the next few days.

7/21/2012 2:03:00 PM
Description: Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario is doubtful for Saturday's game against San Diego with a sprained left ankle.
Insight: Rosario (.254, 15 HRs, 39 RBIs) has been a surprisingly solid fantasy catching option this year with an .822 OPS.

7/15/2012 2:52:00 PM
Description: Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario will not be a participant in Sunday afternoon's series finale versus Philadelphia.
Insight: The Rockies will be trying to deal Ramon Hernandez (.214, 4 HRs, 16 RBIs) over the coming weeks so Hernandez might gain a little more playing time at catcher in the short term so Colorado's potential trade partners can get a good look at him. Once that period ends, the rookie Rosario (.253, 15 HRs, 39 RBIs) should be a solid fantasy catching option going forward.

6/28/2012 2:42:00 PM
Description: Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against Washington. Simply a day of rest.
Insight: Rosario doesn't hit for much average, but he's shown surprising power with 11 HR and 32 RBI in 51 games. At a weak position like catcher, that's pretty good production from your free agent.

6/23/2012 1:32:00 PM
Description: Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Texas. Simply a day of rest.
Insight: Rosario has been an excellent "find" replacing the injured Ramon Hernandez. He's batting .252 with 11 HR, 32 RBI and a 0.816 OPS in 47 games this season. He's likely earned time even when Hernandez returns at the end of the month.

6/21/2012 10:24:00 PM
Description: Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario homered for the second straight game Thursday against Philadelphia.
Insight: Rosario hit an 0-for-16 skid earlier this month, but he's gone 7-for-19 with two homers and seven RBIs in his last five games. Though Rosario does have 12 homers on the year, Ramon Hernandez (hand) figures to start a rehab assignment by the end of this month, and the two will likely split the catching duties for Colorado. If Hernandez suffers a setback or doesn't begin his rehab assignment within the next week, feel free to add the powerful Rosario.

6/5/2012 5:38:00 PM
Description: Over the last two days, Colorado catcher Wilin Rosario has been added in 4,672 Yahoo! leagues.
Insight: Rosario has slugged eight homers since May 2. The catcher is currently working on a seven-game hitting streak, during which he's hit three homers to raise his OPS to .855. Ramon Hernandez, out since May 23 with a strained muscle in his left hand, has not been cleared for baseball activities yet.

5/23/2012 11:18:00 AM
Description: Colorado catcher Ramon Hernandez will miss Wednday's game with a left hand injury that could land him on the disabled list. Wilin Rosario would become the full-time catcher in Colorado if that happens.
Insight: Rosario, despite a .208 batting average, has shown some pop - six homers and 15 RBI in limited playing time.
