(Sports Network) - Philadelphia lefty Cole Hamels can stay unbeaten since early August on Wednesday when the Phillies visit Citi Field for the second test of a weather-altered three-game series with the New York Mets.

Tuesday's scheduled second game was postponed by rain and will be made up Thursday. Philadelphia's Tyler Cloyd, who'd been set to start tonight, will be pushed to Thursday and will be opposed by New York's Jeremy Hefner.

Hamels, a first-round draft pick back in 2002, hasn't lost since dropping a 3-0 decision at Washington on Aug. 2 after allowing two earned runs in seven innings.

He's 4-0 in seven starts since while trimming an already respectable earned run average from 3.27 to 3.06.

Hamels was a 12-6 winner at Houston in his last outing on Sept. 14 after pitching another seven innings and allowed three earned runs.

He's 5-10 in 20 career meetings with the Mets and has posted a 4.39 ERA across 123 innings.

Rookie Matt Harvey starts for the Mets in his 10th career outing, and second against the Phillies.

The 23-year-old was 2-3 in his initial six starts with a 2.75 earned run average, before scattering six hits and allowing two runs in 6 1/3 innings of a 3-2 defeat of Philadelphia on Aug. 29.

He's 0-2 in a pair of subsequent starts while allowing four runs and 11 hits in 10 innings against St. Louis and Washington on Sept. 4 and Sept. 12.

Over 52 1/3 innings in nine overall starts, he's allowed a .216 opposition batting average.

The Mets won 10 of the first 15 games between the teams in 2012, while the Phillies were an 11-7 winner in the 2011 series against New York.
