GAME NOTES: The James Madison Dukes travel to Towson Center Arena to take on the Towson Tigers in Colonial Athletic Association action.

The Dukes had a modest two-game win streak snapped in a 68-57 road loss to George Mason on Tuesday night. Prior to that setback, JMU had won six of eight contests, with the two losses coming on the road against Georgia State and Hampton.

After downing the Delaware Blue Hens on the road on Wednesday night, 69-66, the Tigers have won five of their last six and sit alone in second place in the CAA. Towson has won four straight on the road for the first time since the 2005-06 season, and the Tigers own a record of .500 or better after 18 games for the first time since that same season when they started 9-9 as well.

James Madison leads the all-time series with Towson, 26-10, which includes a 15-8 lead since the Tigers joined the CAA for the 2001-02 season. JMU has won each of the last four meetings and six of the last seven overall. The Dukes have won each of the last two meetings at Towson, which includes a 58-56 verdict last Feb. 11, and a 72-61 triumph behind 40 points from Denzel Bowles on Feb. 15, 2011. The last setback to the Tigers came with an 81-78 loss at Towson on Feb. 8, 2010.

JMU tied a season-high with eight blocks in its 68-57 loss to rival George Mason on Tuesday night, but was outrebounded by 19. Rayshawn Goins tallied a team-high 13 points, and Ron Curry posted 11 points, all of which came in the first 20 minutes of play. Enoch Hood paced the Dukes on the glass with six boards, while Devon Moore finished with six assists.

Moore leads the Dukes and the CAA with 4.6 assists per game. He has at least five assists in three straight games, including six against the Patriots on Tuesday, and his season-high eight dishes on Jan. 9 against UNCW. Moore is the second-leading scorer for the Dukes, averaging 10.4 ppg. Goins paces the rebounding for the Dukes and ranks fifth in the CAA for defensive rebounding, pulling down 5.5 defensive rpg. He also averages 14.9 ppg as JMU's leading scorer.

Led by Jerrelle Benimon's NCAA-leading 12th double-double, Towson claimed its fourth straight road win and snapped Delaware's 10-game CAA regular season win streak with a 69-66 victory over the Blue Hens in Newark. The win also snapped Delaware's five-game win streak and gave the Tigers their first victory over the Blue Hens in their last six tries. Benimon finished with game-highs in points (19), rebounds (13) and assists (5). Rafriel Guthrie (15) and Marcus Damas (13), Bilal Dixon (10), also scored in double figures for the Tigers.

Benimon is averaging 17.2 points and 11.7 rebounds per game, both tops on the team. He ranks third in the country in rebounding. Towson owns a +5.7 rebounding margin over its opponents, the top mark in the CAA. Towson also leads the conference in field goal defense (.390) and rebounding (39.0 rpg), and is third in scoring defense (65.9 ppg).

With Benimon, the Tigers have one of the top players in the league. Expect him to dominate the Dukes and lead Towson to victory.
