Corpus Christi, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Dwan Caldwell tallied 12 points and seven rebounds as the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles held off the Texas A&M- Corpus Christi Islanders, 62-60, as part of the Islanders Basketball Tournament at the American Bank Center.
Javon McKay and Josiah Moore netted 10 points apiece for TTU (1-2), which avenged a last-second loss to Texas-Pan American in the opening night of the tournament on Friday.

A tightly-contested first half ended with TXA&M-CC leading, 32-31, after it shot 52 percent from the field in the opening stanza.
TTU took control of the game midway through the second half by ripping off a 12-3 run to take an 11-point lead with under nine minutes to play. The Islanders kept the game close, and an Ali 3-pointer with 15 seconds left brought them to within two. Dennis Ogbe missed a pair of free throws for TTU, giving TXA&M-CC one last shot, but Ali's last-second jumper did not fall.
The Golden Eagles received 27 points from their bench in the win, while the Islanders' reserves scored just five points.
