Bowling Green, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Jehvon Clarke tallied 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists as the Bowling Green Falcons easily beat the Kent State Golden Flashes, 73-66, in a Mid-American Conference tilt at the Stroh Center.
Richaun Holmes registered a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, adding four blocked shots while Spencer Parker added 12 points for the Falcons (12-16, 6-9 MAC), who snapped a two-game skid.
Devareaux Manley scored 16 points for the Golden Flashes (15-13, 6-9), who have lost two in a row. Kris Brewer netted 14 points, and Mark Henniger added 10 and six rebounds.
Bowling Green shot 40.7 percent from the field in the opening half and led 31-26 at the break. Kent State struggled and made 29.6 percent of its field goal attempts.
The Falcons shot better in the second period, connecting on 55 percent of their field goal tries. With 30 seconds remaining, the Golden Flashes cut the lead down to three, but Bowling Green went on a 4-0 run to end the game and seal a win.
The Falcons outrebounded Kent State, 44-31, and had the advantage from the free-throw line, 26-17.
