NCAA Game Summary - Maryland at Boston College

(Tuesday, February 19)

Final Score: Boston College 69, Maryland 58

Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) - Olivier Hanlan scored a team-high 26 points and pulled down seven rebounds as the Boston College Eagles took down the Maryland Terrapins, 69-58, in ACC play at Conte Forum.

Also scoring in double figures for the Eagles (12-14, 4-9 ACC) was Lonnie Jackson who tallied 13 points off the bench, while Eddie Odio filled his stat line with eight points, 11 rebounds and six blocked shots as they won for the second time in the last three outings.

Maryland (18-8, 6-7), which was coming off an upset win of second-ranked Duke at home over the weekend, didn't have a single starter score in double figures on the night. Instead, it was reserve Logan Aronhalt who led the way with 26 points on 7-of-12 shooting behind the 3-point line as the team bowed for the second time in the last three games.

The Terps led by as many as nine points late in the first half, thanks to 48.1 percent shooting from the floor, which included 6-of-14 beyond the arc, en route to a 33-26 advantage at the break.

In the second half the visitors dropped to only 24.1 percent accuracy from the field, while BC began feasting at the free-throw line (17-of-18) in order to come away with the double-digit win.

In the game that featured 11 ties and eight lead changes, the Eagles outscored Maryland by a 21-8 margin at the charity stripe.
