Rangers down Caps

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - Brian Boyle and Ryan Callahan scored 41 seconds apart in the second period, as the visiting New York Rangers beat the Washington Capitals, 4-1.

Brad Richards and Derek Stepan supplied the other goals for the Rangers, who have won five of their last six games. Seldom-used backup Martin Biron made 28 saves.

Braden Holtby was pulled after allowing three New York goals on 19 shots. Michal Neuvirth finished with 10 saves in relief.

The loss snapped Washington's four-game winning streak at Verizon Center.
