Description: The Houston Texans agreed to terms with QB Jake Delhomme.
Insight: HC Gary Kubiak said that TJ Yates will still likely get the start in Week 13 but he wanted a veteran signal-caller who has been around the NFL block. Delhomme definitely fits that bill. Delhomme was chosen over Jeff Garcia after Tuesday's workout.

Description: The Denver Broncos could show interest in Browns QB Jake Delhomme if he is released after the lockout is over and they trade QB Kyle Orton. SOURCE: DENVER POST
Insight: The Broncos could begin the season with Orton as the starter and Tebow the backup, so long as Fox understands that the tension of starting the clock on Tebow Time would be wound tight. If Tebow is the starter, Orton would be too disgruntled, and rightly so... and might be moved if they feel they can land Delhomme.

3/29/2011 3:57:00 PM
Description: According to Browns GM Tom Heckert, QB Jake Delhomme did not tell the team he has no intention of staying on as a backup in 2011. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: There is no way the Browns are going to go back to Delhomme even if they don't feel Colt McCoy is good enough to start. Due a base salary of a little over $5 million this year, we expect Delhomme to be looking for a job over the next few months.

Description: Browns QB Jake Delhomme is expected to be released this offseason. SOURCE: CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER
Insight: Thank goodness. We aren't sure what Mike Holmgren saw in Delhomme that made him think he was still starter worthy. He'll be a weak backup at best in 2011.

Description: Browns QB Jake Delhomme hopes to be playing with the Browns in 2011. SOURCE: AKRON BEACON-JOURNAL
Insight: Colt McCoy has the inside shot as the starter, so Delhomme's $5.4 million price tag in 2011 is too much for a backup. Seneca Wallace is a free agent, but knows the offense that Mike Holmgren wants to run, so he could be kept at a cheaper price and Delhomme will get the boot.

12/13/2010 11:01:00 AM
Description: Delhomme came away from Sunday's game with 86 passing yards, an interception and a lost fumble.
Insight: Delhomme has turned the ball over twice in four of his five games this season. He's not good. (RapidDraft.com)

12/6/2010 12:01:00 PM
Description: Delhomme somehow managed to emerge from Sunday's game without throwing an interception. He went for 217 yards and a touchdown in the Cleveland victory.
Insight: Delhomme had tossed two picks in each of his previous three appearances this season. He's only a fantasy option for those looking to tank their season for draft position. (RapidDraft.com)

11/29/2010 5:25:00 PM
Description: Browns HC Eric Mangini wouldn't commit to starting QB Jake Delhomme in Week Thirteen. SOURCE: CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER
Insight: Delhomme was bad, as expected, against the Panthers after throwing two interceptions. It doesn't really matter who starts against the Dolphins. Peyton Hillis IS the Browns' offense.

11/28/2010 7:48:00 PM
Description: Browns QB Jake Delhomme completed 24 passes in 35 attempts for 245 yards, but had no TDs and threw two picks in a 24-23 win over Carolina in Week 12.
Insight: One of Delhomme's INTs was returned 40 yards for a touchdown which got the Panthers right back into the game. If not for Peyton Hillis' great game, the Browns would not have won that game. If this doesn't indicate how poor of a decision it was to use Delhomme over your future, Colt McCoy, nothing will.

11/27/2010 11:03:00 PM
Description: Delhomme will start for the Browns in Week 12 when they host his former team, Carolina. Colt McCoy is out with a high ankle sprain.
Insight: Just when things were starting to look up for Cleveland ... (RapidDraft.com)

11/26/2010 12:43:00 PM
Description: Browns QB Jake Delhomme will start against the Panthers this week. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: It's still amazing that Delhomme, Colt McCoy and Seneca Wallace all suffered high ankle sprains this year. What are the chances? Expect Delhomme to hand off to Peyton Hillis a lot and try his best to not make poor decisions against the Panthers, which hasn't exactly been his forte the last few years.

11/13/2010 1:01:00 PM
Description: Delhomme was a partial practice participant on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
Insight: Delhomme is not expected to be active. Even if he is, he's likely to spend the rest of the season third on the QB depth chart. (RapidDraft.com)

11/7/2010 1:00:00 AM
Description: Delhomme missed practice all week with the sprained ankle that has kept him out of all but two games this season.
Insight: He's listed as doubtful but might as well be out. Delhomme's limited time so far hasn't been enough to keep him from tossing four interceptions. (RapidDraft.com)

10/11/2010 11:48:00 AM
Description: Browns QB Jake Delhomme is now dealing with both a high and low ankle sprain. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Delhomme aggravated the initial high ankle sprain after subbing for Seneca Wallace, who also has an ankle injury. The Browns are now down to rookie Colt McCoy as their only quarterback. Look for the team to sign someone to get them through Week Six.

10/3/2010 12:04:00 PM
Description: No surprise: Delhomme is inactive for the Browns today, serving as the (emergency) third quarterback.
Insight: That designation at least continues to indicate that Delhomme is nearing a full return. Seneca Wallace is unlikely to have a good day against a tough Bengals pass defense, so we could see Delhomme back in the lineup for Week 5. (RapidDraft.com)

10/2/2010
Description: Delhommed remained limited in his return to practice this week and should miss a third game.
Insight: That's obviously good news for Seneca Wallace, but it might also be good news for the Cleveland offense. Then again, the team is 0-3, so there's not a whole lot of good anywhere. (RapidDraft.com)

9/29/2010 10:01:00 PM
Description: Delhomme missed practice once again on Wednesday because of the sprained ankle that has cost him the past two games.
Insight: Look for Seneca Wallace to be the guy again. (RapidDraft.com)

9/29/2010 12:01:00 PM
Description: Browns HC Eric Mangini said that QB Jake Delhomme (ankle) should be back practicing by Thursday or Friday. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Delhomme will continue to sit Wednesday, but should get his job back after missing the last two weeks. Seneca Wallace played decent in relief and may have secured the starting job with at least one win. The Browns have lost all three of their games by seven points or less.

9/24/2010 8:05:00 PM
Description: Delhomme is listed as doubtful with what has been revealed to be a high ankle sprain.
Insight: Look for Seneca Wallace to start for the second straight week and for whatever Browns are out there to struggle against the Ravens. (RapidDraft.com)

9/23/2010 12:34:00 PM
Description: It was revealed that Browns QB Jake Delhomme has a high ankle sprain. SOURCE: CLEVELAND PLAIN DEALER
Insight: Considering Delhomme has been in a walking boot for the last week and half, this isn't much of a surprise. Looks like Seneca Wallace will start Week Three, but is still a bad fantasy option.
