Description: Former Chargers and Cowboys wideout Patrick Crayton has been signed by the New Orleans Saints.
Insight: The addition of a veteran receiver, they also looked at Steve Breaston, could mean that Saints management is completely sold on youngsters Kenny Sills and Nick Toon. The wide receiver who grabs the No. 3 role in New Orleans behind Marques Colston and Lance Moore has a chance to be fantasy worthy.

12/22/2010 9:01:00 PM
Description: Per the San Diego Union-Tribune, the Chargers are not targeting Week 16 for Patrick Crayton to return from his dislocated wrist.
Insight: Crayton was a limited participant in practice this week. The team is hopeful he'll be ready for week 17 and beyond if they're lucky enough to make it to the postseason. (RapidDraft.com)

11/24/2010 3:04:00 PM
Description: The San Diego Union-Tribune confirms an ESPN report that Patrick Crayton sustained a dislocated left wrist Monday night.
Insight: ESPN had reported that Crayton might be done for the year, but it appears as if the team will give him a chance to return. Surgery will be the deciding factor for IR, which should be known in the next few days. (RapidDraft.com)

11/23/2010 8:04:00 PM
Description: The San Diego Union-Tribune's Kevin Acee says Patrick Crayton (wrist) will "probably (be) out at least two weeks."
Insight: ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported that Crayton suffered a dislocated wrist and his season is in danger. Seyi Ajirotutu could play a bigger role this week against the Colts. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Chargers WR Patrick Crayton reportedly suffered a dislocated wrist Monday night against the Broncos. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Crayton is expected to undergo an MRI Tuesday to see if he can still play out the season. Crayton had a big night, catching three passes for 105 yards and a score. But with Malcom Floyd back, Vincent Jackson coming back this week and Legedu Naanee close, last night was likely the last we see of Crayton as a big part of the offense.

10/21/2010 8:02:00 PM
Description: Patrick Crayton and Richard Goodman handled all the first-team snaps at practice on Thursday, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Insight: Buster Davis will likely join Crayton in the starting lineup this week. Rotoworld has Crayton listed as the #25 WR this week and should be a solid start. (RapidDraft.com)

9/27/2010 11:04:00 AM
Description: Crayton caught three passes for 57 yards in Sunday's loss. He had just one catch through his first two games with the Chargers.
Insight: Everyone gets more work when the team throws it more than 50 times. Don't look for Crayton to sustain any kind of worthwhile production. (RapidDraft.com)

9/15/2010 7:49:00 AM
Description: Chargers WR Patrick Crayton didn't play against the Chiefs, but was active. SOURCE: SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE
Insight: This was to be expected considering Crayton will need more time to get acclimated to the offense, he isn't work a waiver wire pickup yet.

9/5/2010 7:04:00 AM
Description: Crayton has been traded to the Chargers.
Insight: This move has been a while in the making for the formerly disgruntled Cowboy. The path to targets is a bit clearer in San Diego, especially as long as Vincent Jackson is out, but don't expect a big fantasy impact for Crayton. (RapidDraft.com)

9/3/2010 5:05:00 PM
Description: The Dallas Cowboys have traded WR Patrick Crayton to the San Diego Chargers for a 7th round pick next season. SOURCE: USA TODAY
Insight: No need to worry about Dez Bryant's injury now. If the Cowboys were truly worried about Bryant's ankle, there's no way in heck they trade Crayton. This move does, however, give Crayton some fantasy relevance now. It'll take him a few weeks to learn the new Chargers system, but he'll actually be a welcomed addition in San Diego. This also speaks volumes from the Chargers about the status of Vincent Jackson.

9/3/2010 10:02:00 AM
Description: The Dallas Morning News reports Crayton's agent will ask the Cowboys to release his client.
Insight: Crayton may draw some interest as a free agent, but he isn't likely to find a starting job anywhere. (RapidDraft.com)

9/3/2010 6:08:00 AM
Description: The agent for Patrick Crayton will request the Cowboys release his client prior to Saturday's deadline for final cuts. SOURCE: Dallas Morning News
Insight: Crayton figured he wasn't going to have too much of a role in the offense, so he's going to test the free agent waters, although, he should be realistic that he's going to have a hard time catching on as a starter.

9/2/2010 1:03:00 PM
Description: ESPN Dallas.com reports the Cowboys are still exploring the trade market for Crayton.
Insight: Crayton is owed $2 million this season, as could be cut by the Cowboys if they can't find a trade partner. (RapidDraft.com)

7/30/2010 3:46:00 PM
Description: Cowboys WR Patrick Crayton isn't working with the first-team offense in three-receiver sets. SOURCE: DALLAS MORNING NEWS
Insight: Miles Austin has been working in the slot, with Roy Williams and Dez Bryant on the outside. Crayton's roster spot won't be guaranteed with Kevin Ogletree and Sam Hurd fighting for spots themselves. If the team only keeps five receivers, Crayton could be cut.

6/7/2010 3:48:00 PM
Description: ESPN.com reports Crayton's agent said his client will report to Cowboys' OTAs on Tuesday.
Insight: Crayton has made it clear he would like to be released by the Cowboys, but the team has said it intends to keep him. (SportsBuff.com)

5/31/2010 11:49:00 AM
Description: ESPN Dallas.com reports Crayton has no plans to sit out training camp if the Cowboys don't release him by August.
Insight: Crayton will also report for minicamp in June, but has publicly stated his desire to be released or traded. The Cowboys have said they have no plans to release him. (SportsBuff.com)

5/28/2010 4:17:00 PM
Description: Updating a previous item, NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports a Cowboys official said Crayton will not be released.
Insight: Crayton wants at least a chance at more playing time, and he is unlikely be much more than Dallas' No. 4 wide receiver this season. This situation is probably not over. (SportsBuff.com)

5/28/2010 3:34:00 PM
Description: ESPN.com reports Crayton has requested his release from the Cowboys.
Insight: Crayton is unlikely to earn a significant role for the Cowboys this season, so you can't really blame him for wanting to find another potential opportunity. Whether his request will be granted is another matter. (SportsBuff.com)

5/27/2010 12:13:00 AM
Description: The Dallas Morning News reports Crayton pledges to "be with" the Cowboys if the coaching staff lets him compete for a starting job.
Insight: Crayton is unlikely to be given a real shot at competing for a starting job. He may still be traded or released before the season starts. (SportsBuff.com)

5/20/2010 2:20:00 PM
Description: Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News expects Crayton to remain on the Cowboys' roster this season.
Insight: Crayton wouldn't get much in return via trade, so it may be more practical for Dallas to retain him. But it is also possible they could release him. (SportsBuff.com)
