Curry's late bucket lifts Warriors over Celtics
Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Stephen Curry's jumper with 3.8 seconds remaining lifted the Golden State Warriors to a 99-97 win over the Boston Celtics.
After Jeff Green tied the game with a layup with 11.6 seconds left, Curry dribbled the clock down before losing Celtics guard Avery Bradley with a pick. Boston forward Kris Humphries was forced to switch and cover Curry, who shook the big man with a crossover before burying the deep jumper.
Gerald Wallace's desperation shot as time expired didn't even draw iron as the Warriors held on for the win.
Curry finished with 19 points and seven rebounds and Andre Iguodala stuffed the stat sheet with 22 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals without committing a turnover.
Klay Thompson added 17 points and David Lee donated 16 points and seven boards for the Warriors, winners in 11 of their last 12 games.
Jeff Green poured in 24 points and pulled down 11 boards and Jared Sullinger scored 21 to go with 11 rebounds for the Celtics, losers in seven straight.
