Description: Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong is back in the starting lineup, batting eighth.
Insight: Mark Ellis has been starting at second base the past few games. Wong has shown little this year to get fantasy owners excited, batting .237 with zero homers, five RBI and four runs scored.

Description: Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong is not in the lineup Sunday against Washington.
Insight: Mark Ellis is starting at second base. With just a .237 average, zero homers, four runs, five RBI and three steals, Wong hasn't offered much fantasy value in his first 59 at-bats this season.

Description: Cardinals second baseman Kolten Wong is not in the starting lineup Sunday, according to foxsportsmidwest.com.
Insight: Daniel Descalso will start at second base. Wong had one hit in each of the first four games but went 0-for-4 Saturday to drop his average to .235.

Description: Second baseman Kolten Wong will bat out of the No. 2 hole on Thursday.
Insight: The 23-year-old Wong has batted out of the second hole once and the eighth spot once. He's obviously got more value when up in the order.

8/16/2013 4:06:00 PM
Description: Second baseman Kolten Wong will make his debut Friday night, batting sixth and playing second base. Matt Carpenter will play at third base and David Freese is not in the starting lineup.
Insight: The 21-year-old Wong was the 22nd overall pick in the 2011 draft. He hit .303 with 10 HR, 45 RBI, 68 runs and 20 SB at Triple-A Memphis. If Wong proves to be a ballplayer, Freese could be the odd-man out.

5/25/2012 9:10:00 PM
Description: Second baseman Kolten Wong, the No. 100 overall prospect on MLB.com, hit .452 with two homers and seven RBIs in seven games with Double-A Springfield last week.
Insight: The 21-year-old Wong was the 22nd overall pick in the 2011 draft. He hit .335 at Class A Quad Cities last season and he's done more of the same at Double-A this season, batting .331, second to Royals prospect Wil Myers, who was recently promoted to Triple-A. The Cardinals don't exactly have a long-term solution at second base, so keep Wong in mind if he continues to excel in the minors.
