Description: Diamondbacks minor league middle infielder Jake Elmore extended his hitting streak to 30 games with a two-run double in the sixth inning Friday.
Insight: The 25-year-old Elmore came into the season not knowing if he would be playing everyday in his first season at Triple-A Reno. However, he's forced his way into the lineup with a .393 batting average (101-for-257) and a 26/42 K/BB ratio. Aaron Hill and the returning Stephen Drew block his path to the big leagues, but if he gets a shot he may be a nice find for fantasy owners.

Description: Diamondbacks minor league middle infielder Jake Elmore is batting .384 this season for Triple-A Reno. Elmore has walked 38 times and struck out just 24 while stealing 21 bases in 25 attempts.
Insight: Elmore took a .400 average into June. The 25-year-old was drafted in the 34th round of the 2008 draft and was nearly released two years ago. Stephen Drew is on his way back from a broken ankle, but the team is reportedly upset with how long it is taking for Drew to make it back to the field, questioning his dedication. Elmore doesn't have much pop but the type of plate discipline he's displayed at Triple-A will definitely play at the big league level if he gets a shot.
