Description: According to Fox's Ken Rosenthal, third baseman Jack Hannahan has agreed to a two-year deal with Cincinnati.
Insight: Hannahan (.244, 4 HR, 29 RBI last season for Cleveland) is likely just an insurance policy in case Todd Frazier gets hurt. Don't expect Hannahan to have much fantasy value next season.

8/12/2012 12:27:00 PM
Description: Indians third baseman Jack Hannahan is in the lineup on Sunday and if you have him on your fantasy team, he could be a good play today. He's hitting .429 in 14 career at bats against Boston's Jon Lester.
Insight: Hannahan is hitting a mere .231 in 73 games this season but he could enjoy some success against Lester, who has struggled all year for the Red Sox (5-10, 5.36 ERA).

6/15/2012 4:26:00 PM
Description: Indians third baseman Jack Hannahan has been activated from the disabled list
Insight: Hannahan (.276, 3 HR, 18 RBI) is more of a defensive specialist than an offensive threat and holds little fantasy value.

5/28/2012 9:21:00 PM
Description: Monday, the Indians placed Jack Hannahan on the 15-day DL with a calf strain.
Insight: Expect Hannahan (.276, 3 HRs, 18 RBIs) to miss about three weeks.

5/18/2012 6:16:00 PM
Description: Jack Hannahan won't be in the lineup Friday against the Marlins but he will test out his sore back in batting practice and if all goes well, he could be back in the fold as soon as Saturday.
Insight: Hannahan hasn't played since Sunday. He is second on the team in batting average (.287) and fourth in RBIs (18).

5/17/2012 1:59:00 PM
Description: Jack Hannahan played catch today and he is hoping to be back in the lineup Friday night when the Indians take on the Marlins. Hannahan has been out since Sunday with a bad back.
Insight: Hannahan has been surprisingly effective at the dish this season, batting .287 with 3 HRs and 18 RBIs. That's pretty solid production from a guy who is hitting just .236 in 1277 career at bats.

5/15/2012 11:25:00 AM
Description: Indians third baseman Jack Hannahan is questionable for Tuesday's game against Minnesota with a sore back.
Insight: Hannahan is a good glove man, but he's also producing as a hitter in 2012, batting .287 with three homers and 18 RBI. We can't guarantee he will hit like this all season.

4/5/2012 8:13:00 PM
Description: Jack Hannahan hit a three-run home run on Thursday in the Indians season opener vs. Toronto.
Insight: Don't read much into this, as Hannahan isn't much of a hitter. He's in there for his glove, something that doesn't contribute to his fantasy value, so keep him off your roster.

3/27/2012 4:12:00 PM
Description: Indians infielder Jack Hannahan has won the third base job over Lonnie Chisenhall, who was sent to the minors.
Insight: Hannahan isn't the long-term answer for Cleveland, but he's a good glove man for all the Indians' ground ball pitchers. Hannahan has little fantasy value with his .250 batting average, 10-12 HR power and OPS hovering around .725.

4/27/2011 5:53:00 AM
Description: Indians 3B Jack Hannahan went 3-4 against the Royals with 2 home runs.
Insight: Hannahan is riding a 6-game hitting streak. He has an average of .286 with 4 homers and 11 RBI's on the year. If you play in AL-only leagues he is worth using while he is hot, but don't expect this to continue, as Hannahan is a career .229 hitter.

4/1/2011 6:19:00 PM
Description: Hitting out of the ninth spot in the order today, Jack Hannahan had three hits, including a home run.
Insight: He will need to continue to hit well in order to keep the 3B job. He's someone to add in AL-only leagues but not mixed leagues.

4/1/2011 5:45:00 AM
Description: The Indians purchased the contract of Jack Hannahan.
Insight: He will be their starting 3B to open the season. He might not have won that job if Jason Donald wasn't injured during spring training so don't be surprised if he can't keep it all season. He isn't a mixed league option and doesn't even offer much to AL-Only owners.

12/3/2010 7:00:00 PM
Description: The Indians have signed Hannahan to a minor league contract.
Insight: Cleveland's third base job is currently open, so Hannahan could theoretically earn the spot due to his fielding ability. (RapidDraft.com)

Steady7/22/2009 1:20:00 PM
Description: Hannahan blasted two homers on Tuesday to lift his season total to three.
Insight: Hannahan had gone deep twice in a game once before in his career (August 24, 2008 against the Mariners as a member of the A's). He is hitting .176 in six games with Seattle after hitting .193 with the A's. (SportsBuff.com)

Steady7/12/2009 11:03:00 AM
Description: Hannahan made his first start at third base for the Mariners and went one-for-three with a double.
Insight: Hannahan had hit .193 with the A's in 52 games. He'll replace Adrian Beltre for the time being. If you keep your expectations low, you might be pleased with Hannahan. (SportsBuff.com)
