2015 Solheim Cup headed to Germany Buckinghamshire, England (Sports Network) - The Ladies European Tour announced on Monday that Golf Course St. Leon-Rot, a 36-hole facility, has been selected to host the 2015 Solheim Cup. "The Solheim family is thrilled with the selection of the Golf Club St. Leon- Rot as the site for the 2015 Solheim Cup," stated John A. Solheim, Chairman and CEO of PING. "It is a wonderful golf facility that will provide a difficult test for the professionals and juniors. I know the team at the club will provide everyone with an exceptional experience." The Solheim Cup is a Ryder Cup-style event played between American women and ladies from Europe. The European team claimed the 2011 Solheim Cup by a 15-13 margin. It was Europe's first win since 2003. The U.S. leads the all-time series 8-4.
