NOTES:
Formula One returns to the United States for the first time since 2007, as the 2012 season winds down.

Just two races remain on the calendar, as two-time defending world champion Sebastian Vettel owns a 10-point advantage over Fernando Alonso.

Last race, Alonso trimmed the Vettel's lead by three points, as he placed second to Vettel's third at Abu Dhabi. Despite his victory in the Abu Dhabi GP, Raikkonen was eliminated from the title race, as he trails Vettel by 57 points.

When the United States Grand Prix was staged last in 2007, it was held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as then rookie Lewis Hamilton crossed the finish line 1.5 seconds ahead of Alonso. Hamilton went on to capture the championship that year, posting four wins and 15 top-10s in 16 races, as he defeated Alonso by four points.

The 2012 Formula One season concludes with the Nov. 25 Brazilian Grand Prix in Sao Paulo, as Mark Webber defends his title.
