GAME NOTES: The Towson Tigers will aim to extend a pair of impressive win streaks when they battle the Northeastern Huskies in Colonial Athletic Association Conference play from SECU Arena.

The Tigers are trying to win their sixth straight game overall and 14th in a row at home when they face the 2012-13 CAA regular season champions. Towson has not won six in a row since Feb. 14 - March 4, 1994 when the Tigers won seven straight before falling to Liberty in the Big South Tourney semifinals. The Tigers' homecourt streak is their longest since winning 22 in a row from 1992-95.

Towson is coming off a pair of road wins last week, most recently a 72-57 domination of the College of Charleston on Saturday. Jerrelle Benimon registered a double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures for the Tigers were Mike Burwell with 18 points, Rafriel Guthrie 14 and Four McGlynn 11 points.

Benimon (18.6 ppg, 11.2 rpg) averaged 24 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in the two wins over the College of Charleston and Drexel last week. He is among the top 10 in the country in rebounds. Marcus Damas (11.8 ppg) is also part of the starting lineup, while Guthrie plays a huge role off the bench. McGlynn (9.8 ppg), Burwell (9.1 ppg) and Timajh Parker-Rivera (5.1 ppg, 4.7 rpg) are also among the starting five on a team that averages 73.2 ppg and allows only 68.1 ppg. Since the start of conference play, Towson has limited league opponents to only 59.3 ppg.

The Huskies have dropped three of their last four games, including Saturday's 74-70 home decision to Delaware. The Huskies were paced by David Walker with 20 points, Scott Eatherton delivered 15 points and nine rebounds, followed by Zach Stahl with 12 points and a team-best 11 boards.

Eatherton leads the nation with 14 double-doubles. He is averaging 16.7 ppg and 10.3 rpg. Walker (11.9 ppg) and Reggie Spencer (9.5 ppg, 7.3 rpg) are also part of the starting lineup. The Huskies are shooting just 30.4 percent from 3-point range and 63.6 percent from the foul line, and both those statistics have factored in their poor start to the season.

The Huskies have won five straight in this series, and Towson has not defeated Northeastern at home since 2008. Benimon though, is on a roll and the Tigers will be tough to contain on the way to their longest winning streak since 1994.

Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Towson 76, Northeastern 68
