GAME NOTES: The Eastern Michigan Eagles will try to correct a two-game losing skid as they host the Bowling Green Falcons in Mid-American Conference action at the Convocation Center.

Bowling Green had a three-game win streak snapped by Miami-Ohio in the team's most recent outing, 70-65. The loss set the Falcons back to 3-3 in MAC play this season. Bowling Green is two games behind Akron, the MAC East Division leader, at 5-1.

Eastern Michigan's two-game losing streak is entirely due to the top two MAC East Division teams - Akron and Ohio. Both squads took down the Eagles, setting them back to 3-3 in conference standings. Ohio defeated the Eagles in their last contest, 58-56.

Bowling Green leads the all-time series with Eastern Michigan, 46-40, which dates back to 1916. Eastern Michigan however, defeated the Falcons earlier this season on the road, 56-51.

Bowling Green outscored Miami in the second half of the Falcons' last outing, 37-34, but it wasn't enough to come back from an eight-point halftime deficit. Jehvon Clarke led all scorers in the game with 22 points, adding six assists to his stat line. He also turned the ball over six times in the loss. Anthony Henderson chipped in 15 points on 5-of-13 shooting from the floor. The Falcons shot 41.8 percent in the game.

Richaun Holmes, who scored nine points in the team's contest with Miami, leads the Falcons in scoring with 13.9 ppg on 53.8 percent shooting from the field. Holmes is the team leader in blocked shots (56) and is second in rebounding (7.2 rpg). Cameron Black barely edges out Holmes for the rebounding top spot with 7.3 rpg. Spencer Parker is second on the team in scoring with 12.4 ppg, while Clarke is third at 12.3 ppg. Clarke adds a team-best 4.7 apg to his stat total.

Eastern Michigan held a 30-22 halftime advantage against Ohio last time out, but couldn't maintain the lead as the Bobcats went on to outscore the Eagles, 36-26, in the second frame. Glenn Bryant scored 14 points to pace Eastern Michigan, adding seven rebounds in the process. Karrington Ward scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the double-double. The Eagles shot 34.5 percent from the floor ins the loss.

Ward tops the team in scoring this season with 13.7 ppg on 42.9 percent shooting from the field. Ward's 6.8 rpg mark is best on the EMU team, and his 29 steals is also a team-high. Mike Talley and Bryant check in at second on the roster with 10.3 ppg each. Talley leads the team with 68 assists on the season.

Eastern Michigan is experiencing a setback in conference play with two straight losses, but the Eagles, who defeated the Falcons earlier this season, should be able to bounce back on their home court.
