GAME NOTES: Now in their 10th season at the Save Mart Center, the Fresno State Bulldogs try to record their 100th win in the facility on Wednesday as they contend with the Colorado Buffaloes in non-conference action.

Fresno State, which previously played home games at Selland Arena, have a record of 99-49 in this particular building and have already won two of their three homes dates this season, the most recent of those being an 84-49 rout of San Diego Christian last week.

More recently, the Bulldogs were on the road on Sunday, visiting Washington State, where they were handed their fourth setback of the campaign in a 59-50 final, snapping a brief two-game win streak in the process.

As for the Buffaloes, a team which won six straight out of the gate and was nationally ranked last month, they bowed for the second time in the last two outings on Saturday when they suffered a devastating 90-54 loss against nationally-ranked Kansas on the road.

While Colorado has won three games on a neutral floor, the squad is still winless in true road dates.

With respect to the all-time series between the programs, the Buffs are one game ahead of Fresno State, 3-2, thanks to a 71-64 victory in Boulder last year.

Against the mighty Jayhawks, Colorado never led and trailed by as many as 42 points as the visitors shot just 37.0 percent from the floor, 2-of-13 beyond the arc and 12-of-21 at the free-throw line as they were completely overwhelmed by a superior program. Josh Scott and Askia Booker managed to score in double figures for the Buffaloes with 19 and 15 points, respectively, while Andre Roberson accounted for eight points and 11 rebounds, but other than that the team fell severely flat as just one other player made even two field goals in the outing. Roberson might not be a scoring machine for the Buffaloes with his 11.6 ppg, but his presence in the paint cannot be overstated as he clears 11.4 rpg and has logged both 14 blocked shots and 21 steals already. Now, if only Roberson could do something about his mere 48.8 percent accuracy at the free-throw line for a team that is visiting the charity stripe an average of more than 28 times per contest. Spencer Dinwiddie (16.2 ppg), Booker (14.2 ppg) and Scott (12.8 ppg) carry the team on offense as they generate the bulk of the group's 72.1 ppg.

Fresno State's accuracy from behind the three-point line against the Cougars at Beasley Coliseum over the weekend was weak at best, the team connecting on a mere 2-of-20 shots on the perimeter as they suffered the nine-point setback. The Bulldogs, who shot only 30.0 percent from the floor overall, were able to keep things interesting by forcing 17 turnovers, but other than that it was a lost cause. Jerry Brown came off the bench to tally a team-best 12 points, followed by Robert Upshaw and Allen Huddleston with 10 points apiece. Kevin Olekaibe was limited to just five field goal attempts in 17 minutes, missing every one of them as he failed to score. As someone who took a staggering 508 field goal attempts last season, en route to 17.8 ppg, Olekaibe has been just a shadow of his former self so far in 2012-13 with a mere 7.9 ppg as he connects on only 30.3 percent of his field goal tries, including a dismal 26.7 percent beyond the arc. On a conservative offensive team (60.8 ppg), Huddleston stands as the only double-digit scorer for the program at the moment with his 12.2 ppg.

Colorado proved early on that it could generate wins and even though the team has stumbled lately, it is possible for the Buffs to take out FSU on Wednesday given how weak the Bulldogs offense has been against quality opponents.
