Portland, OR (SportsNetwork.com) - Thomas van der Mars produced a huge double- double with 19 points and a game-high 18 rebounds as the Portland Pilots cruised to a 92-76 win over the Portland State Vikings in non-conference play at the Stott Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Pilots (6-3) were Kevin Bailey and Alec Wintering with 23 and 12 points, respectively, as the team won a third straight and the fifth in the last six outings.

The Vikings (4-3) were paced by Tim Douglas with a game-high 27 points, shooting 5-of-8 behind the 3-point line. Gary Winston pitched in with 13 points and Aaron Moore 12 and seven boards in the team's second loss in as many outings.

Portland State led by as many as six points in the first half, the team shooting not only 50.0 percent from the floor but also 5-of-7 beyond the arc, but the squad still found a way to fall behind by seven at the break, 47-40.

In the second half the Vikings dipped to just 34.4 percent accuracy from the field, allowing Portland to run away with the win.

In a game that featured four ties and five lead changes, PSU converted an impressive 10-of-18 on the perimeter, but at the same time was outscored at the free-throw line, 29-16.
