Temple raced out to a 12-4 lead and DiLeo hit a 3-pointer to make it 30-15 with 7:36 remaining in the first half.
Kent State trimmed seven points off its deficit by halftime and continued to chip away following the break. The Golden Flashes drew even at 46-46 on a Brewer dunk just past the four-minute mark, but the Owls began to pull away again, beginning with consecutive threes by Randall.
