NCAA Game Summary - Colgate vs. Yale

Storrs, CT (Sports Network) - Alex Zampier tallied a team-best 16 points to lead the Yale Bulldogs to a 65-55 win over the Colgate Raiders in the consolation round of the NIT Season Tip-Off Tournament at Gampel Pavilion.
Also hitting for double digits for the Bulldogs (1-2) was Jordan Gibson with 14 points in the triumph. Michael Sands, who chipped in seven points after taking just two shots from the floor, accounted for a game-high 12 rebounds.
The Raiders (0-2) were paced by Kyle Roemer with a game-high 18 points, followed by Yaw Gyawu and Mike Venezia with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Despite shooting only 2-of-11 behind the three-point line and 31.3 percent from the floor overall in the first half, Yale trailed by just two points at the break, 30-28.
In the second half it was Colgate that had a hard time finding the range from the field at just 36.4 percent, opening the door for the Bulldogs to come charging back and grab the 10-point win.
The Raiders turned the ball over 19 times on the night and were outscored at the free-throw line, 19-7.
